It Ain't Dead...

So Mantis is almost done, and maybe if I get it done I can feel better about how the other 1/3 of the industry I'm trying to enter's imminent demise due to the Great Orange Asshole's 1800's style deregulation. This will be released before the new year at whatever stage of construction it's in so I can put it behind me. The main hold up is how much I hate making scenery. Also manually placing each piece of grating for the stairs is an incredible pain in the ass.

Station needs queue stairs for the entrance, and the goofy spiral staircase that goes from the controls booth to the lower level and then it's done minus correcting a few floating railings. You can also see my attempt at the infamous discarded 3rd train in this screenshot. B&M clearly overestimated the intelligence of people using their products when added that third train. Shame we couldn't have gotten a cool turn or something instead of the block brake, or even a straight hill. Whoever decided to add a vaulted octagon to a rectangular station and then not allow the inside to be seen while adding random triangles of grate flooring to the station should be shot.


Cutesy vertical tires were added with the thingies that lift the antirollbacks while sounding like a marimba. Well, my attempt at those were added at least.


The black wire low zone fences are being added. They come from Plantoris' Fence Pack, which everyone should download and use because it's great. It makes the area look much more complete before I throw in all of the bushes. Still need to make the goofy truss under the pontoon section of the queue. That section somehow manages to incorporate the ride's only brown fencing, random planks of wood, and concrete floating on pontoons for whatever reason.


And here is a general overview. The on-ride photo booth probably isn't going to happen, so if anyone wants to make that object have it. My 3Ds skills are terrible. I really really really want to add in the bushes but I know it'll block my view of things, so I'm trying to avoid that.

I got bedbugs from an interview (thanks 3.5 star Sheraton) so for the past month I've slept 3-4 hours a night after a bargain bin sleeping pill and 4 shots of whiskey, all while simultaneously trying to figure out what to do with my life (AKA dump 10,000 dollars I don't have into more education since having enough classes to take quals is less appealing than being a dropout). The demon hellspawn insects are probably dead since I hired a specialist and caught them early (bachelors actually change your sheets, it can be a lifesaver...), but since I'm in the lucky 20% that doesn't react to bites I get to wonder for awhile.

Progress gets slow when you're depressed.

That would be super, since I have next to no 3ds skills. I don't even care if the shape is wrong, just having an entity there would help.

And again I need to make like 2 staircases, some railings, and trees and it's done. But I hate scenery so much that progress is slow as hell.
