Well, I figure it's been long enough since I've made a thread here

Edward's Forest is my personal largest project. A park set in Scotland, just north of Glasgow, this small amusement park offers family fun in the cold British sun .-.

This first update will detail the entrance area as well as the park's major-est-y attraction, Cerberus. So far, the entrance area and Cerberus's plaza are the only two 100% complete. I'm actually pretty happy with how they turned out, something I rarely find in my projects

Anyways, on to the pictures.

Cerberus

Cerberus is a large GravityKraft woodie, inspired by that of Cu Chulainn and Jinan's Jungle Trailblazer, respectively. The coaster took approximately 3 weeks to build, and is my first Gravity Group styled wooden coaster. It features 2 90* banked turns, 1 115* overbank, and one inversion, a corkscrew. The coaster is billed as the first inverting wooden coaster in Europe, even though Wildfire was first. I feel like the park would try to market off of the fact that some consider Wildfire a hybrid. It's meant to tell the story of a fictional European legend about a 3 headed bull, referred to as the 'Cerberus' that appears in random forests in a fire and chases the cars of fleeing tourists. The train is themed to a car, and basically the plot is you're driving that car to escape the Cerberus. Kind of a shallow theme, but hey, I tried :D

Stats:

Max. Height: 95 Ft. (29 Meters)
Max. Speed: MP/H (77 KP/H)
Length: 3645 Ft. (1111 Meters)
Max. G-force: 3.90
Min. G-force: -0.69
Max: Vert. Angle: 65 Degrees
Max. Horizontal Angle: 115 Degrees
Inversions: 1
Make: GravityKraft Corporation
Model: Wooden Coaster
Opening: August 26, 2016
Cost: ???9,000,000

Well, that's all folks. I'll be coming out with a rides update next Monday. Unfortunately progress is slowly inching along because I broke my leg last week, but I'll try to provide as much as I can. Thanks!

Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

The park looks fantastic, but I think that Cerberus deserves a car theme to make it fit better with the train. Keep it up!
I'm not brand new to NL2 so ignore how many posts I have atm, I post a lot other places :)

Why do people keep comparing this to Oakvale, this was heavily inspired by Tayto Park, not Oakwood lmao

I can see the Oakvale inspiration and your take on it it looks good, but perhaps try and be a bit more original in your park ideas? So far I've noticed that the park entrance building, coaster track, car park and hubless wheel are all very similar to Oakvale.

On the other hand, the coaster looks good, if not a bit spread out.

Entrance was actually inspired by a building design of mine from 2014 but the car park admittedly is all Oakvale lol.

Define "coaster track" btw, I'm not entirely sure what you mean there.

While I'm not interested in one for use in my park I'd actually love to take a looksee at the SLC with the bunny hop before the loop.

So I do recall saying I'd give a rides update last Monday, but I never provided. So now I'm providing. lol.

First up, coasters! Of course you know Cerberus, so I'll leave it out for this update.

FLYER - 1982

Image

This coaster is a classic wooden coaster that opened in 1982 after being relocated from a previous location. Originally constructed in 1921 and retracked by TGG at some point.

BOOMERANG - 1995

Image

A generic Vekoma Boomerang. I slapped a lot of foliage on it to make it look nice. That's pretty much all I need to say about this ride. (Constructed by JAKool)

TBD - 2003

A Vekoma Family Coaster that wraps around Boomerang's plot of land. Currently under construction. (This ride will be constructed by DechLave)

Next on the list are some flatrides/static attractions.

VORTEX - 2016

Image

This is a large HUSS swinging disk. It was part of the large 2016 expansion, and was constructed alongside Cerberus

SKY JUMP - 2006

Image

Nothing much to say about this one.

ENTERPRISE - 1982

Image

Currently this ride is far away from the park in its current state, but is set to be complete soon.

AIR RACE - 2012

Image

Not much to say about this one either.

FIRECRACKER - 2015

Image

Just another Larson Super Loop. Move along.

HALF PIPE - 2014

Image

Another Half Pipe coaster-thing-a-ma-jig. I'm running out of things to say about these rides but because of my perfectionism they all need captions.

ANTIQUE CARS - 1989

Image

Title says all lol.

PARK TRANSPORT - 2005

Image

Both this and the antique cars function.

Last but not least, not yet placed/defunct attractions.

DEFUNCT:

Looping Star - Arrow Dynamics Mega Looper - Defunct 2014
Tilt-a-Whirl - Tilt-a-Whirl - Defunct 2014
Calypso - Schwarzkopf Monster Ride - Defunct 2015

NOT YET PLACED

Sky Hike - Elevated Play Structure - 2015
TBD - Theater - 1982
Paratroopers - Paratroopers - 1982
Pirate's Bay - Chance Pirate Ship - 1995

Well I hope you're satisfied with this update because it legit took half an hour to write

The woodie reminds me of a cross between the old Mexican Medusa and one of the newer GG woodies. It's neat. Good job on the park so far.

Great touch! Those lights will help seeing the track in complete darkness (which is a problem I usually find on NL2 night rides)

Thanks guys, it means a lot coming from some really talented people such as yourselves. :D

Finally filling that missing water ride gap, I present, River Expedition, an Intamin River Rapids attraction. I plan to put the park's primary family coaster over this ride, providing some nice ride on ride interaction.
