Just wondering if anyone else out there goes fishing, and if so what is your biggest fish?

I just thought of this topic as i have today been down to wicksteed park for a bit of fishing in the lagoon, wehere i caught my all time personal best fish. After a run a blanks fishing for pike (northen pike for americans) i thought i might have a quick go, bearing in mind the biggest pike i caught since was about 11lb. Well anyways i was just sitting out with my mate, dead-bait setup using about a 10cm sprat, when i notice my float moving eraticly, all of a sudden the float just absoulutly tore off through the water like no mans buissness. And well to cut a long story short, this thing took me about 10 -15 mins to get in, and when i saw it in the water, i swear i caught a crocodile, i mean jesus. This things was huge, by this time there were several other people also watching, which was annoying but yeah. Then my mate finaly got the pike in the net and as he lifted the net he snapped the pole (yeah he's dumb like that) but still i managed to land it, well anyway, after i had de-hooked it i put her on the scales. And yes the scales rose and rose and rose to a total weight of 24lb (dont know what that is in kg) now for any poor kid fishing this was truely amazing for me, i mean the biggest fish id landed before was a 17lb Carp, and to catch a 24lb pike was well, amazing. Well anyway thats my little story of the day

So you thought you caught Jesus? Go tell the pope! See if you can sell Jesus back [lol]

Anyway, the biggest fiosh I've caught was off the rock shore in LongBeach, CA. Caught a 36 inch Halibut, big ol flat fish. Took a while to bring it in. All I was using was mussel as bait too. No one was watching either as it's illegal to fish where I was fishing [pshades] I'd say it was well over 30 pounds. [:D]

Anyway fishing is boring, I'll get to the shop and buy fish if I'd want it. Never do it though, most fish is disguisting [:p].

Fishing is fun. Get case of beer, bottle of rum and sit back. Usually we are mad when we actually catch fish cuz that's work.

Im not much of a fisher but my cousin got a baby shark that was about 30 inches long when we went deep sea fishing about 40 miles off the coast of Yorktown VA (about 20mins south of Willamsburg) Of course i just mini fish there. My bigest fish ever was a 15 inch bass i caught at a state park near state college PA.

Once when I went to the Gulf of Mexico with my uncle, we went deep sea fishing, and I got really sea sick. Any ways I caught one fish and it was the biggest one. It was a grouper. I don't know how much it weighed but it was huge!

I don't really like fishing myself. I get seasick on boats that rock, although if it's moving I'm fine. I also get a bit nauseous on swinging ship rides, yet I can go on anything else and be fine. I could fish off a pier or in a lake but I don't really have the patience for fishing in general.

the biggest fish I ever caught was an 8-inch bluegil in a pond. I had a gigantic catfish on the line that same day, but I was only using 15 pound test line, so the giant beast fish snapped it like a thread. Oh, well. I have a fish story because of that...
