Monster - New at Adventureland Iowa in 2016

Tragedy makes us unhappy and it might affect (this time) to our big joy for Monster.

Monster Update:
"The Monster" will be closed through Friday, July 15 and there is a possibility it may be closed a bit beyond that date. We are having some parts machined and it will unfortunately take more time than anticipated to have them manufactured, delivered and installed. We apologize for the interruption in service and assure you we will be working around the clock to get "The Monster" up and running again quickly and safely. We will update on our website and Facebook page just as soon as we have a firm re-opening date. Thank you for your patience.

This ride actually operated consistently before breaking though.

Had a great time at Adventureland today thanks to low crowds, nice weather, friendly employees, and fun rides. Monster was an awesome ride that exceeded my expectations. It has a great first drop, good forces, nice airtime & laterals, and some crazy hangtime. It'll probably crack my top 25 and it's definitely a fantastic addition to the park. Also, props to the Monster crew for their fast dispatch times, I saw them stack only two or three times the entire day.

Love the entire look of a monstrous layout as well!

This ride looks absolutely amazing!

I would really like to ride it some day.
A few years ago, Gerstlauer was some kind of "weird but funny" ride constructor for me.
but now they??ve become a real big player!
