This is an oldish story (from 2009). One of those instances that feels like real life becoming satire but at the same time I can't bring myself to make fun of her since I'm not in elementary school. I hope she realizes there may come a time when paying for maintenance is no longer justified or new parts become impossible to come by so they end up having to scrap it and replace it with a different ride, or that the relationship is completely one-sided and non-consensual.

Didn't this ride already left the park? I can't say I remember seeing a Magic Carpet ride at Knoebels when I went a few years ago.

I'd actually heard about that news before! I still remember her story!
