It will give the second half a great airtime-filled start in the back cars with the straight crest like that. I am surprised to see RMC do that though lol.

I too am surprised, I didn't know RMC was capable of such a flat turn. Now that we're in July, is there any word when they will have the official announcement?
What are these for?

Having a flat turn means that RMC is also a normal coaster company! I'm kind of relieved!

The very end of Storm Chaser has one. Speaking of which, what if the turn out of that MCBR is just as intense?

Am I the only one who's just a little disappointed that turn isn't completely flat?

Hey if anything the banking shows that they're expecting it to come out of the MCBR with some speed.

I wonder if they'd put LIMs on the MCBR. Would certainly help with the rather high friction their trains seem to have. Even if the LIMs didn't fire in normal usage it could be like the tires on SoB.

So, my take is that it may just be banked enough in the event the MCBR doesn't activate, and the trains just roll through. Gotta expect anything!
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I wouldn't worry about friction loss. The apparent 40+ foot height increase it looks like they're doing ought to compensate plenty. New Texas Giant is RMC's only coaster with a MCBR so far and the train breezes right through. Mean Streak's should be for blocking purposes only. I'm a laterals junkie so I just want that turn to be as extreme as possible!

NTG lost a complete section of the layout though - it lost 20% of it's track length despite being taller.

Look up the stats. NTG only gained 10 feet of height and lost 14.6% of the old length. Mean Streak is clearly gaining much more height than 10 feet, which is why it will still have the momentum to complete the full circuit. Several people have done the geometry and estimated that the conversion will add around 40 feet to Mean Streak's 161.

I really like that drop sequence out of the MCBR.... It's so simple for RMC and I mean that in the best way possible.

Cedar Fair has filed this trademark for the name "Railblazer"

Image

I wonder if this is the name for the new ride. It seems to fit the western theme.

I like Stampede better for Mean Streak's makeover.

Wouldn't Railblazer make more sense for the Raptor track we think a CF park might get?
