World Fairytale Land is a park set to open in 2020 on the Ocean Flower Island in China which is basically China's version of Dubai's palm islands but in the shape of a lotus flower.

Here is some concept art for the park:

They are also getting a Vekoma Firestorm with what seems to be some great theming.

The Firestorm has been topped off and the first inversion is also complete! The green is just for protective wrapping.

Yeah this era of Vekoma needs to make its way to the US. Have a chain get in on it like Six Flags did with the boomerangs and SLCs.
X2 ??? Intimidator 305 ??? Millennium Force ??? Iron Rattler ??? El Toro ??? Fury 325 ??? Maverick ??? Skyrush ??? Twisted Timbers ??? Voyage

I'm (Oh dear...) falling in love with that pear-shaped element! The art... itself! :D

Track is complete! Now time for them to start on the rockwork that will cover a lot of the ride.

Thank god the green was just wrapping. Looks much better without it.

Think the island will sink like the one in Dubai?

Gonna bump this thread with an interesting development.

Ever since the track was finished nearly a year ago, the coaster has been receiving some heavy duty theming. Here are some images of it being installed as well as the current state of the rest of the park:

...and this is what it will look like when finished:

This is certainly going to be quite something when it is finished.

The top hat reminds me of an old idea I had- put the entry and exit on different sides. I hope that Kentucky Kingdom???s 2019 coaster will be a Vekoma hyper, a B&M Hyper (although a lot more likely based on Hart???s comment that they loved to work with B&M and want to do it again) would be cool too. Praying it???s like Mako/Shambhalalalaalaalla
1. Voyage 2. Intimidator 305 3. Maverick 4. Skyrush 5. Mindbender (Galaxyland) 6. Fury 325 7. Kumba 8. Goliath (Six Flags Over Georgia) 9. The Beast 10. Phoenix

Any bets on when the island starts to subside and sink like all other man-made islands in funky shapes ever made?

Really nice aerial image of the current progress of the park:

Image

There are also two interesting observations about the image:

1. The S&S 4D FreeSpin is now starting to go up:

Hainan S&S Freespin.PNG

2. I can spot a kiddie coaster over to the left of the image, can't quite recognise what type it is though:

It's like if the park wanted it to be less intense and so asked S&S to reduce the radius of each "bottom drop".

It looks more like a rip-off with that different shaping. I wonder what kind of effect it will have on the ride experience.

Closer look at the kiddie coaster that was recently installed:

Not quite sure who it's from considering the layout doesn't look recognisable, but i have a feeling that this is from Golden Horse.
