What part about having high functioning autism requires you to have a device to help you stand? I'm extremely confused.

Especially if you have the motor skills to build the damn thing yourself.

I eventually want to make this knex prone stander portable so that I can use it anywhere to help me stand. Thats if it all works out in the end. I bet the whole thing will be extremely heavy to move when it is completed.

That's going to be quite a project. I weigh about the same and I can't imagine a Knex structure that would be able to support my weight. I can see that the base you've built is very dense with purple and blue 3D connectors. The inside I assume is full of blue-blue 3D's. That would be a b&%#h to put together!

There are 18 black rods going through the whole footplate to stiffen it up.

I have made one leg of the Pediatric stander last night so far and it took like 5 hours to make it. It weighs 5 and a half lbs.

Yep, that's pretty much my thinking.

That structure is REALLY impressive. Damn. Everyone shut the HELL up about autism and stay on topic.

I was inspired today and began work on a Skyrush-inspired K'nex coaster. I have one tower of the lift structure done as well as the thick spine of the lift crest. It's about 7 to 7.5 feet tall at its apex. I'll throw some pictures up when I get far enough along.

^ That's one of the solidest "K'NEX" structures, I think, that I've ever seen in my whole life! :D

I've been working on a new-gen Vekoma with VV track.

Here's the lifthill for the coaster. The next few pics don't have the tunnel on the lift, but that's just because I took it off to manually get the car up the lift. The lift is actually going to operate similarly to Hulk or Battlestar Galactica with a launch. I swear I built this part before Paragon was a thing :/
Edit: sorry for sideways picture, can't seem to fix it right now.

Here is the train I'm using. The front and back pieces are from a Mecha Strike set, the rest are custom toppers. They are inspired by Battlestar Galactica's trains. Funny thing is, I had to turn most of the wheelbases around to prevent the chaindog holders from interfering with the toppers, so I only have a chaindog on the front car. If anyone's curious I'm using rainbow loom bands and k'nex micro spacers to connect the cars.

Here is an overview of the station and brakes. The brakes open and close via a linkage beneath them, and they work by applying friction to the wheelbases. At some point I want to control these with rubber bands and solenoid valves.

Finally, here's two pictures showing the current progress. I've since taken down a bit of the loop to rework the shaping and supports, but this pretty much shows what I've gotten one so far. After the loop I'm gonna add a dive loop and some sort of helix thingy inside of the first turn.

I have an SSCoasters thread here, but the images won't be available to anyone without an account: http://www.sscoasters.net/forum/topic/1 ... oop-12118/
lmao I'm taking up vertical space
