Good news. All that is left for me to do is slap the final supports on the end of the ride. The oversteep strata coaster will be posted for your enjoyment TOMORROW NIGHT!
Here are a final set of teaser screenshots, which highlight some of the best features of the ride. Enjoy, and don't forget to check this coaster out tomorrow.
This is my customized station, made completely from regular supports. It really has a nice effect, don't you think?
You've seen this drop before, but it's worth showing again. The height of this drop is 481 feet, with an angle of descent of 106 degrees. The speed at the bottom of this drop is 116 mph.
The first overbanked turn, 225 ft with banking of 134 degrees. The supports on this section are as close to real as I could possibly get. I am very pleased with the results.
Here's something I have not shown yet... the second drop. This tophat is a whopping 385 tall, and ends with a second oversteep drop of 100 degrees.
The world's steepest non-inverted turn, 155 degrees at a height of 250 ft.
The third hill, 197 ft tall, generating 3 seconds of airtime up to -1.1 g's. The customized tower supports on this are as authentic as you will find on any coaster. All the supports are based on those of Millennium Force, extracted by 2 months of careful observation of the real ones.
This is a rather strange overbanked turn. It is only 90 ft tall, and turns 90 degrees rather than the traditional 180. There are virtually no positive g's going through it, so it is like soaring rather than turning around.
The final teaser I will show is the exit from the midcourse brake run. This vicious double-down is the most intense airtime on the ride, -1.2 g's. This part throws you right back into the ride, after the midcourse brake lets you breathe a bit. After the double-down there is another airtime hill with 2 more seconds of fabulous floating. All in all on this ride, there is a total of 25 seconds of airtime.
And so ends this preview. To see the end of the ride, which is a wicked finale if I do say so myself, check out the coaster tomorrow. till then, see ya'.
