Cedar Fair 2018 Construction Time Lapses

Hey everyone, long time no see.

I'm happy to report that I've returned to my college dorm from Christmas break, and like I promised, I was able to record much of the construction progress over the past five weeks while I was gone for CGA, Carowinds, and KBF. (CP is the odd one out due to the fact that their webcam was pointed away from Steel Vengeance during most of my break; and frankly, with work on SV pretty much all but completed, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to continue making time lapse videos for it at this point.)

I still have a lot of work to do in order to get fully settled back into my college dorm, and I'm exhausted from traveling back. Just be patient for a little longer???I'm planning to start uploading my time lapse videos again sometime tomorrow.

Whats is the cheapest hotel to stay at that is inside the park? Hotel Breakers is like 2.000+ dollars for a three day waterpark and park pass. I was going to try castaway bay but the rooms seem very old and dated from reviews. Plus i would not have time to use the waterpark and ride the master blaster slide. The waterpark closes when the amusement park does.

If you're going alone Hotel Breakers is impossible to recommend. Have you looked at Breakers Express?

I'll be staying at the Express hotel when I go in June. $287 for 3 nights hard to beat.

I'm splitting the bill with 3 other people and will be staying at Breakers. I'm looking at just over $300 for each of us for two days in the park over 3 nights.

I have to say that you have seriously got a marvelous collection of coaster construction videos as it's extremely hard to do the similar stuff (specially) on a tablet. Thanks so much for putting them together.

I haven't stayed at any of the parks hotels (yet) so I can't confidently answer you but what I do know is that Castaway Bay is a short drive away and so is the Express Hotel.

Since this is the last week before Carowinds opens, expect one more weekly time lapse, as well as a second ten-week time lapse, and, finally, a complete construction time lapse of Camp Snoopy's construction going all the way back to when I started recording progress in November.

Before that happens, though, I'll be leaving to go home for Spring Break this Saturday and won't return until Sunday, April 1. As always, I will continue to record progress while I'm gone; however, these updates will go on hiatus until after I get back.
