Today, on a French TV Show, Parc Ast??rix's development manager has announced that the park is currently working on a new LSM Launch Coaster which should open by 2021. He said they took inspiration from Phantasialand's Taron. https://goo.gl/WJYjfK

Holy sh*t if there's a second Taron in the world
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

That park has been expanding quite a bit recently. Hope it's a badass ride!

Just clone it and ditch the trim brakes before the ending bunny hills. I'd take it.

I doubt it will be a clone. I see it with a vertical spike like on Soaring With Dragon at Hefei Wanda Park. They were very interested in a coaster which features a vertical element in a TV Show last year or in 2016. They took the example of Oblivion: The Black Hole at Gardaland. They were also interested in the B&M Wing Coaster model with the example of Raptor at Gardaland.

You'd need to dig a big hole if you want to clone Taron

Not literally advocating for a Taron clone. Just remarking on how Taron could so easily be even better if they let it.

And please no Soaring with Dragon vertical spike. We need a legit launch here!

Well, I think we could get both.

I can't wait for this to open! Looks like I might have to drop by in 2021.

Soooo, a multi-launch Wingrider with a vertical drop and 100+ crossovers?

I've actually just stumbled across the video which mentions the new 2021 coaster (starts at 15:30 and is in French):

Really awesome, but I can't help but think how awesome that top hat could have been as just a regular top hat without that slowing down brake at the top.

Might be for effect and also since the drop is over 100?? it has to crawl before dropping just to prevent painful negatives. I could be wrong just makes the most sense. As for this ride I need new pants after watching that!

It???s going to be a great coaster, but likely not as whippy as Maverick.

I feel like BGW???s will be more similar to Soaring With Dragon, whilst this will be more alike Maverick???s style of layout??? 1 or 2 moments peeking out above the treelines being mostly low to the ground like Maverick.

As long as they have that airtime launch I am solid with whatever they add.

Absolutely insane lol... I agree I'd probably prefer a natural drop on the tophat but this ride is going to be outrageous.
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

This looks like one of the best rides to date. I personally think the anticipation stall is baller. It's unique, and allows for high capacity with a beyond vertical drop top hat. Plus, the airtime will be insane and that anticipation stall is going to give a cool combination of negative and acceleration forces, especially in the front, you'll be kinda dangling with those lap bars for a moment. This also allows the height and speed to be increased, but an extended ride layout via money saved by slower and lower elements throughout the rest of the course.
