That's indeed a lot more noise than a normal coaster...

Hmmm it's like you can hear things attached to the train going through the motor.

Lesson learned from Larson loops. They are the further thing from quiet. Not surprised this is loud if not louder.

The ride was never meant to be quiet. In order to fit into the budget we were going for, some sacrifices (noise consideration) were made. A quieter version is definitely possible, but so far no one has decided on going that route. We are definitely excited to get this one open, and to open this budget friendly coaster in as many parks as we can.

It drives a few seconds on gravity, that's why maybe. It isn't powered the whole ride.

I have to say that these things look more like a coaster to me than a Larson Loop. Those loops have a never ending train that goes arount the whole loop (the people sit only in one section but the train itself is actually in the whole loop). The train on the Skywarp actually has a beginning and end. The Larson loop also doesn't have any change in the direction it's going. It's just a circle. I've never ridden a Larson loop but I've got the feeling it's just a 90?? tilted merry go round. ;)

I think the skywarp is in a bit of a grey area like the Heege Butterfly "coasters". I don't feel like it's a coaster but technically the skywarp is just a powered coaster with it's engine not inside the train.

On the other hand, with this logic a Zamperla Rocking Tug or Disc'O should also be powered shuttle coasters but I don't think anyone consider those being a coaster. Sometimes it can be hard to identify what's a coaster or not.

Not a fan anymore. If they scaled this thing 2-3x the size and cycled it both directions, then we'd be talkin'.
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

Yeah I expected them to do 2 full cycles in both directions.
