It's a pull through test for clearances. They usually do those with 1-2 cars, then attach the rest after.

That's interesting, thanks for clarifying! :)

Sadly just like black cars with a black track blemishes will be very visible. Wonder if this construction company outsourced by intamin or hired by the park.

Do they even care about Hyperion? I'm really wondering about that when I see this

Here's how I think it went down:
Intamin: *puts fragile sticker on all boxes*
Energylandia Construction Crew: "Hey boss, what are we supposed to do with these boxes of track?"
"Just throw them on the pile, we'll assemble them later."
"So whats this label on the crate?"
"Eh, that's nothing, they put it on all the boxes, don't think it means anything. Just chuck em"
*Tosses track pieces aside*
Intamin: WHAT PART OF HANDLE WITH CARE DIDN'T YOU UNDERSTAND!?!? A NEW COASTER WITH PAINT SCRATCHES ALREADY!?!? I SWEAR NO ONE READS THE LABELS THESE DAYS

Hence the fiasco when Red Force was constructed and everyone was losing it over the warped brake run

The pull-through has progressed fairly rapidly:

Here's also a look at the station and theming from inside and out:

Also, Intamin posted these fantastic images of Hyperion on their Facebook page (these were taken before the twist and dive was finished).

That banked S-curve in the pictures is a thing of beauty... That looks to be quite the element. Also... What even is a Hyperion? This theme is so confusing.

Hyperion was one of the Titans in greek mythology. I think this however is a space theme with the vehicle named after the titan. Or maybe its like a sci-project kind of thing. The fact that its a Hyper coaster might just be adding do it but I wouldnt say the theme is confusing, There is a sci-fi, Spacey theme thats just been done in a darker style which to be honest I love. A bit like a darker style to O-TBH at Garda

Sounds like Millennium Force's antirollbacks on the rare occasion that those kick in.

Surprised by intamin on how loud that chain is, but at the same time... that cog and chain are freaking huuugeee!

2018 has become the year of the chain dog. Between the noise of Steel Vengeance, Twisted Timbers and now Hyperion, the chain lift is clearly making a comeback... In a LOUD way

Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

It's shaking a LOT... hopefully it's just the camera shaking because is too intense and not the ride itself.

This looks amazing. What world are you guys living in? "Oh, well, its not what I would of made given the space and I'll probably never ride it, so it's just 'alright.'"
