now that SFMM and CP don't have room for any more mega coasters, who do you think will be the next "giga park" (either beating or tying with 16 coasters)

SFGAm has quite a few coasters itself, and may get a floorless in 2005. It's already got 12 or 13 coasters. But really, who says CP and SFMM aren't going to add any more large coasters. They both have huge parking lots and probably the means to expand...

SFMM might be able to buy the surrounding land, but, cp will wave to build on water or use it's parking lot, alton towers is pretty big too, 500 acres i think

well it wont be Alton towers. They do have the possibility of building down into the vally etc, for example the 'wooden coaster' But not enough rooms (bearing in mind tree restrictions) to build 16 coasters. I would expect it to be from an outsider park which knowone has heard of, in like Japan or Tiawan of something stupid

paramount canadas wonderland will get 16 coasters they are only 3 away. they might even 'upsize' there rides. or it will a six flags park.

Yeah, Carowinds, lol.

And anyway, I'm pretty sure Cedar Point and Magic Mountain will be able to find the means for expansion.

.... beats me, probibally some park that is just getting built, i havent been to tons of parks so i really cant tell. I do think TTD will be teared down. Or even better, extended. Go into a massive overbanked turn and then mabye into a +200ft loop[peakhill][launch]

sorry, i got a little off topic, but i couldnt help myself[:p]

Neither of those things will happen to TTD in the near future. They just built a coaster costing an extremely large amount of money, and it's probably the most high profile coaster in the world. And now they are going to tear it down? Riiggghht. And they can't just extend the coaster like it's no big deal...it would take a lot of extra planning and such...that really won't happen either.

Paramount's Carowinds has a ton of land undeveloped. To put it in perspective we have more undeveloped land than the actual park itself.
As for CP the next big move for them would be to move the parking lot inland and use the existing parking lot or do something with all the camp sites.

CP still has the whole lower half of the penninsula. If they move the parking lot out of the way, they would have at least another 200 acres to work with.

yea, also you can literally "make land" these days. As far as im woried, CP can make many more coasters, just parks like hershey park where they have NO room unless they tear down the parking lot and move it somehow, there stuck

yea, that's to bad the Hershey has no more room. Because that is a cool park and they could easily have gotten 16 or more coasters if they had that space.
