Hey all. I have a question for everyone. WHich park would you prefer???

Cedar Point...or...Six Flags Magic Mountain

I'd prefer Cedar point. I love it. Ive been there 5 years in a row. And this year in november, they are opening Castaway bay. Its a waterpark resort. go to www.cedarpoint.com for more details about it.

Yeah I read about it in the Kirmes and Park Revue. Looks great!

I will also prefer Cedar Point. But Six Flags Magic Mountain has great historical coasters, like Revolution or X.

Magic Mountain, Because it's closer and the coasters are a lot more diverse, I think<img src=images/icon_speech_duh.gif border=0 width=23 height=15 alt=Insert Speech Icon: Duh!> CP is full of woodies, not very many different types of roller coasters either, plus, they put in coasters just to put in one, like Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister, sure they might be fun but all that happens is you get launched at high velocities. One coaster like that, okay but multiple coasters like that is BS. "We felt like building a really tall and fast coaster that does nothing more than go really fast, goes up, and just for the heck of it, we'll make it spin to make it more thrilling." Yup 5 seconds of my life on a ride, waiting in line for 1 hour is the way I wanna spend my $500+(That's after airline fees, food, hotel, ect)

Yeah Magic Mountain has a ton of diverse coasters...Scream and Batman. Very original. Let's go coaster for coaster at both parks.

CP-MM
TTD > Superman
Millennium Force > Goliath
Mantis < Riddler's Revenge
Raptor > Batman clone
Mean Streak < Colossus (although take off the MS brakes and you have an entirely different story
Blue Streak > SFMMs cyclone, whatever it's name is
Wicked Twister > Deja Vu
Corkscrew < Viper
Magnum XL > ....
.... < X
Iron Dragon = Ninja

I could keep going on....but really, CP is more diverse come to think of it. Magic Mountain has a bunch of clone coasters, and it's really Cedar Point's atmosphere that really punches Magic Mountain in the mouth.

Both those parks suck, everythings overpriced and the rides aren't thrilling. I'd take Knoebels or Holiday World over them any day.

Suck. Not quite. The rides are very good at Cedar Point, at least, and it really pains me to keep seeing all of this negativity towards these parks. Really makes no sense.

Actually, the only good coasters at CP are Blue Streak and Maggie, and those aren't even near the greatest coAsters. Blue Streak is by far the best though at CP and has some nice floater air.

Ermm...Millennium Force is a great coaster. You have to take it for what it is....well, let's not go back into. I'm just going to let it go...

I really don't care, though. coasters are coasters, parks should never be brought into it, except when they decide to waste money. For stupid ideas. EX Knott's Wind Jammer. Several million dollars down the drain. Not that it really matters because it was Cedar Fair that decided to close after they bought the park.

I wouldn't call MF a great coaster, but thats just my opinion. Height and speed doesn't do anything for me since I've ridden coasters so much more intense than tall and fast rides like Silver Comet for example. Its only 85ft. tall but its surely a much more intense ride than MF.
