It's a temporary thing they do for [what I assume to be] new support stabilization. You can always tell when it looks like generic 2x4 wood, unlike other support colors. I've seen it all over certain RMC projects, but the only physical example I can find is from Outlaw Run.

The reason might be earthquakes. That's my guess at least.

Some recent construction on Hakugei, including the installation of one of the inversions:

I'm also going to leave a recent interview with Alan Schilke from IAAPA. There's an interesting bit about Hakugei about the time when RMC first presented to ride to the park, and they thought it was too aggressive at first (The bit starts a 4:56):

This coaster is shaping up really well. That first rendering won't do the end product justice at all. And I just finished firming up my fall 2019 Japan trip for which Nagshima Spa Land and Hakugei will be the finale!

Baller! That little wave turn looks sick! I'm curious to see how that slight over bank during the low portion of where the first helix used to be will ride. I wonder what the speed is there, and the radius of that old helix is very large. It seems like the (word escapes me) metal connector struts are banked more than 90 degrees. Maybe, Schilke has it slightly overbanked, and at a level to tie with the radius, to produce some sort of airtime or something, like how you get that air in the middle portion of a B&m curved drop. Almost like a cutback with floater but barely overbanked, I'm sure there's a better real world example.

Edit:

Right here:

Maybe there will be some Floater there.

Perhaps similar to the treble cleff on Fury 325?

We'll see when the POV comes out eventually.

Ah I see the "it's haf the height it used to be" RMC effect is in full swing.

Yes, which is fine. I personally wish they would of done a huge airtime hill, they could of somehow worked in the curve on the drop of the hill, surprise lats. It will be interesting because this ride will feel very similar throughout. If you were to take those elements and put them on the ground, they would be similar height to the rest of the ride.... Still looks great though!

A rough POV was recently been released:

Bare in mind that this is not accurate since alot of the elements presented here are different compared to what has already been installed.

That drop does look immense, I'd love to get out to Japan to ride this.
