Is it possible to convert a MAX file to a 3DS file for use with NL[?]

errmm i guess your using 3ds Max, or whatever the programs for. I used it and couldnt find a way too. Im not sure if the export button works but if i remember correctly it didnt

actually, there is a 3d model d-load site, and a moldel that i need is in the MAX format.
i guess you are using 3ds max
no i only have tia's oc.

Actualy, I have max and yes, the export button does work. But can tia's OC open max files? Because if you don't have max, you could tell me were to download the file and I can convert it for you.

It is now a 3ds! But the guy did not add the mats so you will just have a "brown" astroid.

LOL, i gor anim8tor a week ago... i still can't find out how to aply textures to stuff... i'll keep on trying...

There are probably tutorials at the site. You should just be able do open up the material editor and drag it to the astriod. But you will probably have to add a cerntaint modifier for it to fit correctly ( I don't know how to use anim8tor, just max.)

ya, but nolimits wont do the animations. If you want to just animat it in the program you can. There are diff. typs of animating though. You can do "key-frame" animation (were you set each key and move the object) or you can set up bones for the object (if its a creature or robot) and animate it that why.
