I know, I like the mine theme. Although my backstory for this ride will be totally different :P.

Here's another update on the pre-show building in front of the lifthill:

That's pretty awesome, looks realistic despite not cramming as much detail as possible in there.

It's been a while since I updated on this project and I don't want to give away too much but here are a few screenshots:

This reminds me of those new generation Vekomas. Looks great so far, especially the mining structure.

nearing completion. All that is left is the lighting in the buildings and perhaps some optimilisation because fps is suffering right now ^^'

No worries. I submitted it for Roundup 250. It'll be up after the results are published.

Thanks :D

I did some work on a custom cliff side and I started working on the supports. I'm quite content with how the layout turned out but being inspired by Frank, I took a closer look at the trackwork and noticed the main drop is pulling -1.1 g's in the front seat  . That might be a bit much lol.. Anyway it's too late to change the trackwork now so I'll take it as a lesson learned for the next project.

Oohh.. this looks nice. I really like the supports; very reminiscent of vekoma.
Is that little path walk-able for guests? Or more of a service road of sorts for ride-ops and engineers?
Very nice ambience going on here either way.

-1.1g may not be out of line, the important question is how long it's held there, and what comes before. Somewhere on the internet here there is a set of graphs that attempt to dictate g-force limits both in magnitude and duration, and for different rider positions relative to the track (e.g. sitting, standing, flying). I think it was posted either here or NL central.

It has been a while since I posted anything. I've been slowly working on my recreation of Loop Screw Coaster at Seibuen Yuenchi. Progress is slow because it's difficult to find good reference images of inside the station but here's what I got so far:

Will you add any more new track styles to your 3ds Max import tracks?

Looks quite nice so far! Not a whole lot of source material to go off of for sure. RCDB has a couple of pictures of the station. They're not great, but they do reveal many rows of stadium seats, which is a bit different, hah. There's also a nice shot of the detail on the loop, including ladder sections that would be a nice touch.
The area around the ride is looking nice. I really like the aesthetic of the flat rides all in a row like that too.

Still planning on finishing that wintery Vekoma?

@cool5: I don't intend to

@FrankLeeMadere: Thanks, I will finish the wintery Vekoma and the path is intended to be walkable for guests. Just have to place some fences :P. I want to save it for winter time though :P.

In the meantime I've been finishing up Loop Screw Coaster. Just a couple more things to do which includes a detail in the station building and custom trains.

I'll have to make LOD's for these, my fps is dead lol:

I put way too much effort into these:

Yeah I'll probably release these. They look a lot like the Arrow trains. Here's what I got so far:
