I'm sorry to say the game looks pretty bad. The graphics remind me way too much of sim theme park. If you look at the tracks from the screenshot the aren't smooth or anything. How anyone can say that this is better than no limits is kinda unbelievable. It looks more like a joke to me. When Hasbro Interactive started making the second one they changed everything and it hasnt been the same. I just hope this game is not as bad as it looks.

It seems to me that these companies are really pushing the capabilities of our computers. Even the not-so-fast machines. If anyone has played VEGA$ Tycoon then you'll know what I'm talking about. The game is complete 3D with up to 5,000 guests on your lot at any given time, gorgeously detailed graphics, everything moving and animated and lit up just like in Vegas, and it just blew me away that my computer didn't even so much as hiccup with all this info on the screen at once.
The game has attractions that can be built included pre-built "themed rides" and "roller coasters". I couldn't help but think how awesome it would be if they would make a roller coaster tycoon game with that same graphics engine. It's truly amazing to see the sun set in world only to reveal all the twinkling lights (that actually light up the walkway) scatted among palm trees and buildings. The game is simply gorgeous, and I guess my ultimate point is that if they can make this game where everything is animated from the sign on the corner to the little detailed poster hanging on your theater, then roller coaster tycoon can be made 3D in a kick a** way. Whether or not they actually pull it off is another story.

Something else, I've been wondering about for some time now. Why has no other company (besides SIM theme park) tried creating their version of an amusement park builder. Does Atari own the rights to the 'concept' or something? It's just surprising that we haven't seen any other competitors in the amusement park sim games. God knows there are tons of coaster sims out there, and you can bet (even if the game sucks) that it'll be a quick seller, thanks to the door that's been blown off the hinges be Roller Coaster Tycoon. There is so much that has been untouched and untapped on the whole concept of amusement park management. God I wish I was a computer programmer.

I do agree that the game needs to be completely reworked from the ground up. I think they've strayed terribly from the concept that brought the original game to the forefront and unfortunately, IMO, I see this happening with the 3rd in the series. Now all they seem to concentrating on is the 3D aspect of course, and diversifying the guests. Whoopee! I have to say the idea of walking through a park that I create is awesome. We'll just have to patient as more screen shots will inevitably begin leaking out across the net.

Sorry for such a long post. I guess I had more to say on this subject than even I thought.

I'm still mad about the"pre-built pieces" thing... but i guess that adds to the originality of the game, I'll probly try the demo first to see if it's worth it (if they make a demo)

I could care less about anything except coaster building and scenery. The coaster prebuilt peice thing is cool but there needs to be more of them. The graphics look fine but they will probably slow down my computer alot after I play(thats what the underwater tycoon game did) Scenery needs to be more versital and varying. More coaster types should be added too. And for God's sake can we make the stats figuring better!!!??? B&M inverteds aren't intense! and steep drops are a lot more intense than the game makes them out to be. IMO inversions are like a walk in the park compared to a nice big drop. I wanna know the idiot who came up with the stats figures in the game now!

Well I thought he had help. Anyways I'm not saying Cris is an idiot(I don't want to be jumped by all the fans out there) I just think those stats need to be rethought. It doesn't seem reasonable that a short inverted coaster with five slow inv. is more intense than A giga with a 300ft. drop going 90+mph. Sorry that was such a bad example :P
