I have been here and rode this water slide.
You start 30 feet up and immediately drop down a small drop into the pitch black tube. You pick up speed really fast and think, this is not so bad after all, then OH MAN! you feel the crushing Gs, and the pain builds up all of a sudden as you whip around the little turn to be flung into the splash pool. I felt like I pulled 3 Gs! I love/hate that slide so much because you come out of like a cannon but it is so painful in the last very tight high G turn. My back was mashed into the slide so much in that last turn. I will be going here on Tuesday.

No offence but i doubt a body slide, or any water slide for that matter will have "crushing G's".

Not necessariy true...I know there are water slides with loops (granted not completely vertical, but loops none the less).

The article says that there are G's of about 2.6...so on a slide that has enough speed and a tight enough turn, you could in theory pull close to 3 G's...whether or not this slide cool5 has shown does can't be proven or disproven, but it is certainly possible. It does look as if the final turn is fairly tight and one would have a fair amount of speed there at the bottom.

Maybe a slide like a looping one But unless you had a really tight one i dont think you'd feel anything. It dosnt sound logical. On a slide rather than feel G's you go on the side of the slide. I have been on my fair share of water slides and have never felt any force whatsoever.

well, I've had a couple good body slides that actually had some good g's. But nowhere near crushing whatsoever. It's just a matter of exaggerating in cool5's case.

But than again, I'm no big fan of those speed body slides. It's just going really fast and that's it. Usually it's over in a couple seconds...
I'd prefer the bigger body slides or in america's case: The slides with a facing forward foam mat. [:D] From my experience in America all body slides are extremely unpleasant because they don't smooth out those seams from the connections. It really kills your back.

When you have to disassemble the slide and realign the sections every season, then you know its pulling some G's. Until then your just a big baby.

Yea most slides do really hurt your back when you go over the seems. And even if you do go on the side of the slide you still can pull some Gs. it all depends on how tight the curve is and how fast your going. If you have a tall slide that doesn't drop alot, but gradually picks up speed...you could have a tight turn at the bottom and have a good head of steam by that point. It looks as if that may be what cool5 means here, but again, he could be exagerrating a little bit.

yeah that's why I deleted the post. It made no sense without the pic....and I didn't feel like making it work.

I could see that pulling some decent Gs at the bottom.

^Yeah, that's such a tight turn there at the bottom, it could easily pull some fairly good G's.

I rode this slide today and I was pressed into the track very hard on the last turn. It was a bit hard to keep the body tension.
