I can understand that some people think that the system we have used is a little bit weird. But we wanted to try something new you have never seen before anywhere. We thought it would give a little bit more creative thinking and a unique twist to the contest.

I liked the bonuses. I probably wouldn't have gone for a strata coaster without them, but I was determined to get that height record! The absurdity of the build location mixed with the quirky rules led to some really interesting and varied ideas. I don't think the overall idea of the contest was.. realistic, per se, but it certainly was fun.
