Lightning Rod Question

I am going to be planning a trip to Dollywood this April or May. I know that Lightning Rod had a pretty sketchy youth as far as reliability and operating days, but I haven't heard too much about it as of last season. I am nervous about planning a trip just to visit the park and arriving to a closed Lightning Rod. Of course there are other coasters I am very excited about, but Lightning Rod is the spotshit. The visit will most likely be a Thursday-Friday.

My question is: does anybody know how consistent Lightning Rod is these days?

After watching some videos recently, it seems that it is now much more reliable.

The downside is that the launch is no longer as powerful as it was during its early years as a cost to increase its reliability.

You???re still gonna be hit or miss really, but it???s definitely better than the first few seasons.
