Uh, the bible also says God is pro-abortion:
Hosea 9:11-16 Hosea prays for God?????????s intervention. ?????????Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer. Give them, 0 Lord: what wilt thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts. . .Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.?????????
And here it supports cannibalism:
Leviticus 26:30 ?????????And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.?????????
The bible also says in several places that it is wrong to
not beat your children when they are bad, and that adultery (by women at least) should be punished by death, even if the adulterous woman is pregnant, and even if the adultery is only suspected, not proven. Some "pro-life" stance that is...
Need I go on? Just about any type of violence and hate can be justified somewhere in the Bible.
As I have said, the Bible has been shaped by man over the years, mostly through translation. I believe all of the anti-gay statements in the Bible have been put there by people. A very likely time this happened was during the medieval times, when books, including the Bible, where only preserved by monks transcribing them in monasteries. It is very likely that many of these monks joined monasteries because they were homosexual and incredibly ashamed of it, so they took a vow of celibacy and removed themselves from society, just like all of the pedophiles that are in the Catholic clergy. These gay monks could have added passages that tried to persuade people away from living the lifestyle that caused them to feel so different and ashamed of themselves.
