Thats really bad, I think their government needs a major review of their safety regulations. A friend who works in a park in japan tells me that they don't have to do anywhere near as many checks as what he had to do when he worked at Alton Towers.
At Alton Towers, he worked mostly with Nemesis, and he had to check all of the individual moving parts of the seats and the trains every morning, before the park opened. He says they do that once a week at most in the park he's at now. I think its very dangerous and they are lucky that they don't have more accidents, but as we all know, the Japaniese people are psychopaths and probably don't care anyway, the nutters, [lol].

The accident happened in South Korea not Japan. Also a wheel/s broke off of Steel Dragon 2000 mid-ride, causing the train to screech to a halt and as said wheels flew off and hit a man in the stomach.

All UK and US parks are required to testall moving parts on a coaster. All wooden tracks must be walked through every morning, checking every nut and bolts to make sure they are not coming loose. You may see the signs in wooden rollercoasters saying track tested etc (they do at Blackpool) and unless the track is checked the ride will not run.

Dude, that was crazy...you can see the guys fall out of the cherry picker thingy as the ride drops suddenly.

I think thats quite funny now, having seen it a second time, I noticed that you can hear the people from the cherry picker, actua;lly hit the floor with a rather nice bang, which is funny.
