Alton Towers is by FAR the best park in england, for the simple reason that NEMESIS is there. Also, Blackpool PB, is a digusting and skanky place, that is dangerus and so on. Thorpe Park, is good and has one amazing rollercoaster (colossus) and also Nemesis Inferno which is hmmm, ok, but not great. All the other parks in England are too small and don't have anything there. So definitely go to Alton Towers.

too small doesn't mean anything...Oakwood Leisure park has Megafobia, probably the best coaster in England, and Blackpool PB has Grand National which is by far better than Nemesis.

The coasters are ok. Its where the place is and what the people are like there. Not very nice in my eyes. Well said Gouldy ;)

About Bp that was

Megfobia best coaster in England? lol ill let you off for being an American as Oakwood is in Wales. So you would have been correct saying UK. I think Oakwood as a whole is a good park, but it is a long drive from anywhere and really they only have 2 mains rides: megafobia and Hydro: Waters Revenge

Im not sure saying Blackpool is disgusting and skanky is correct but everyone entitled to opinions. Blackpool has increased greatly or cleanliness over the years, and compared with fantasy island the place is spotless. And as IF Grand National is a fantastic ride, although maybe for the more experienced coaster rider, ouch

I would probaly recommend Alton Towers. Its a great park but as said, queues are a pain and you should plan your visit in an off peak period. Thorpe Park again you have to battle the queues espiecaly it being on the outskirts of london, it can be a nightmare if you pick the wrong day.
