[lol] thats what all my friends say, but i tell them if you saw a doll with a knife walking toward you, what would you do, go up to it and try to break it, or run away screaming at the top of your lungs?

the scariest movie I've ever seen is Barney, & pokemen, I had nightmares of barney and the pokemen surrounding my bed and saying stuff that they would say.

My favorite horror movie by far is "The Shining"

It's not really "scary" but it's just well done.

i must be weird or something, but scary movies dont scare me...? well, "the others" freaked me out a bit when they were in the closet and the old lady did something... i dont remember, it was a while ago. but yeah, scary movies dont scare me. the exorcist had no effect on me. it was a bit gross, but still, no effect. and i have to say that the blair witch is the second worst "scary" movie i've seen. the worst was "signs". i'll never understand why people will pay hard earned money to get the crap scared out of them.....?

Pay money to get the crap scared out of you, because in the back of your mind you know you are safe. It's the "feeling"

Because of the "feeling"

It's adrenaline. It gets you excited. Because you are not really scared. People don't like being truely scared. Such as having someone point a gun at your head and threaten to paint the wall with your brain. That wouldn't be fun. But sitting in a secured car hanging on some thick steel dropping 200 feet is an adrenaline rush. You know you aren't gonna be hurt, so you technically aren't "scared"

It's like a drug. People pay big money for heroine, cocaine and such. Why? Yep, it can kill them, but they think the feeling they get from it is worth the risk. (I am not a drug addict if that is what you are thinking... It's just an example)

Also, real fear can make you be prepared for other things. Like, if you almost drowned in a lake, and you were scared, you would know to wear a life jacket.

i understany why we do it/ but i dont understand why it feels so good. yes adrenaline has that effect on you, but why? if you were a caveman, you wouldnt go and try to have an adrenaline rush, you'd just try 2 stay alive. i dont get it lol

sheesh, i bet those flying squirrels jump out of trees just for the adrenaline rush [lol]

lets face it. The human race has evolved were we no longer have to hunt for our food, all we need to do is pick up the phone and have a pizza delivered to your house. And saying cavemen didnt go out and do things to get a adrenaline rush isnt true. Cavemen would go out and would tourment a wolly rhino (yes a wolly rhino) until it would chase them.
