NoLimits: Coaster Calculator
Version: 1.0.1.0

Overview:
Coaster Calculator is specifically designed to handle 2 very common and useful formulas used when designing a coaster in NoLimits.
The first of these formulas is for getting a turn with a constant radius. This is the "Handle Length" formula and will give you the length a bezier handle should be for a constistant radius throughout a turn. All you do is simply enter the degree of the turn (like 45, or 90) and the radius (in meters or feet). The bezier control handle length will be displayed.

The second of these formulas id for lowering (or eliminating) lateral G-Forces in a turn. This is the "Bank Degree" formula and will give you the banking needed to achieve 0 lateral G's in a turn. This one is a little bit more tricky in that you need the Vertical G and Lateral G values in the turn. To do this, remove all banking from the turn and ride the coaster in the NL Simulator. When the train hits the turn, write down the vertical and lateral G-Forces (this is best done riding in the middle car, and is a good idea to custom color the segment so you know when the train is actually hitting the turn, and use fly-by view mode so you can see everything). Then, just enter the Vertical and Lateral G forces and the "optimal" banking will be shown. Note that the banking will also show the opposing bank, this is so you know what the bank would be if the train is upside down or right side up.

Features:

Handle Length formula for pump-free turns
Bank Degree formula for 0 Lateral G turns
Docks with the NoLimits Editor
Optional Dock placement and offset
Stays "On-Top" of the NoLimits Editor
Auto-Matically close when the NoLimits Editor Closes
Fixed for v1.0.1.0

Docking stays with main NL Editor window instead of jumping to msgbox's

Click on the piece of the track that you want to know the length of, then, on the bottom toolbar at the top of the screen (where it says "segment:") It should say the length of the piece of track there.

But the handle length, hmmmmm, You could use the aixs indicators, The things that indicate how long stuff is on the X, Y and Z axis. I don't know, I am going to stick to the traditional method of getting a nice corner ---- pure guesswork :)

You could try to adjust the grid to one meter or foot so that it's a bit easier to guess, but when the handle is at an angle, hmm, we'll have to work on that one
