I was thinking about making a bio-dome type coaster except it would be more of a box. The train would be launched straight down, hit an immelman, flip back and forth in the "econo-box", exit it, and go back to the station. What do you think?

It sounds like a pretty good coaster, as any coaster that enters and exits anything at high speeds, would probably be pretty intense. It sounds like an alright idea :)

sounds interesting...especially the fact that it would be in a confined space and enter and exit at (hopefully) high speeds. sounds like fun!

The point is that the coaster is not in the structure the whole time. The "econo-box" has internal supports, too, making the whole time while you are in really exciting.

It is called Serpent.

Here is the screenie:

Remember that Serpent is not finished yet. It will look even greater when finished, being completley on top of water and everything [:D][:D][:D]

Let's see... in order, it includes:

A vertical (straight down) launch,
an immelman,
a cobra roll,
a sea serpent,
another cobra roll,
a corkscrew,
and a 360 degree helix.

That makes a total of eight inversions.

Wouldnt a stright down launch be kindof G force neck krunching?

Keep in mind that if you do it people might mark down for the launch, I wouldn't but some other people might. It looks pretty good from the pic.

It's like one of S&S Power's coaster... Turbo Drop, I think it's called. Instead of letting gravity accelerate you downwards a 1G of accel., you are launched with a bit more than 1G of accel. I used friction wheels for the 1.5G launch.

I just have to say this... the immelman is taller than the vertical tower. The immelman is 200ft tall [:D]

Update:

I have added terrain and finished supports for the top of the box.

Left to complete are the sides of the box, supports for the rest of the coaster, and 3DS objects. I am working on the coaster as I post this.

There is a glitch in the game that places trees in random places past the editor's boundaries. The terraformer edits land past this point, making some of the randomly located trees on water [:D] You can see it in the back right of the picture above [:D]

I think it's a cool concept and it's hard to judge about it at this stage, concerning supports. There's alot to consider here, Theme for example. With the proper theme, this ride can rock having that caged support. That's what comes to my mind, concerning the pictures I see of it so far. I'd shoot for a theme that has to do with the cage, something like RAGE in the Cage! You get the idea!

it's maybe an original idea of the supports, but the track needs more originality, you'll go continu through loops. try to make some difference in direction. not only loops and loops.

I was on a trip the past two days and haven't been able to continue progress on the coaster. The track isn't that original, but I was aiming for the cool supports.

I know that it's loop after loop, but it seems extremely exciting and unrepetitive because of the support structure. I should say the the coaster exits the stucture for brief periods, which adds to the exictment.

The supports will look a lot different when finshed, remember that the rest of the coaster needs to be supported.

Nyssa, good idea! When I add the queue line, it'll be enclosed in a cage. I will also try to cage lots of other stuff.

Just an idea.
