Hi, what if NoLimits had a music feature? I mean, in URDC there's a feature where you can have music play the secopnd it gets out of the station, or have sound or music loop in a certain location (which is hearable for a long, medium or small radius) or you can choose a sound or music to play when the coaster goes over a certain part of track. What if something like that was in NoLimits? Like a Rock 'N' Roller Coaster recreation could actually have the sound and music activated at the exact time of the ride. I know some people just go in to Winamp or something and play it while the program is running, but with a feature like this it would be synced exactly each time.

Just wanted to throw that ou there, any comments would be appreciated. :)

Yes that would be a nice idea. However, would it be hard to implement/program in? I think most of us would prefer to see more coaster track styles in future updates however.

yeah, it would be cool to have more track styles then a music feature, you can also add music by playing it on the background. so that feature can wait a while...

I said this a long time ago, but I agree with the idea to play soundfiles in the background.

Uh, Scream Machines has done this forever. No one ever uses that feature. It's just not that cool.

Yeah, I honestly think its not that great of an idea at all. It's pointless and NL is a realistic sim, I don't know of one coaster besides Rock n' roller coaster that has music playing during the ride.

There's also not roller coasters with 700 barrel-rolls in a row either, but yet you can acheive that in No Limits if you want. If we all went and said "No real coaster has ever done that" and then everybody follows that staement, there would be no original No Limits coasters. But feel free to disagree with the idea, I'm not going to make you listen to it or anything. Also, Space Mountain in Paris and California have a soundtrack, also California Screamin' aswell. Incredible Hulk has that whole thing during the launch too.

And another idea. What if we could place different lights (kind of like how you model something in 3d) and so you can have multiple lighting schemes within the game. Like say you can have alot of darkness, but yet in the middle of the enviroment there would be purplish or green light or something. That could also come in handy for themed coasters or recreating indoor coasters.

Keep those replies a comin'!

yeah, and real coasters do, do that. Screaming California, Rockin` ROller Coaster, Space Mountain, sure they're all Disney Rides, but they're still coasters. I think it would be a good idea, then next problem would be getting the music to go with the ride, I think music would also make rides more original and exciting!!! (THat's sumting people always want) [;)]

yeah, almost all disney coasters use sound effects if not music. there are other rides that are non-disney that use music too, but i cant think of any [:(]

Of course 700 barrel rolls are possible, but what I'm trying to say is that its unrealistic to have music playing thats coming from nowhere. A launch tube with music in it would be realistic, as station music would also be. I just don't see coasters that play music which comes from nowhere.

About the lights idea, thats already possible, Using 3ds you can make them. See this track for an example.

there could always be speakers installed in the cars...behind the headrests or under the seats near your feet. that would solve the "music from nowhere" problem. other than that, i could care less if a coaster had music or not.

Is that aaaaaaaaaaaaall you talk about!? [lol] lol. You should like a good ride instead, like Nemesis or something.

Anyway, I think it would be a good idea to have the option to play music in NL, because some real rides have got music playing while you go round, so its not like its impossible or anything, lol.

It all depends on what you want from your coasters really. If used well, then music/other sound effects could add a whole new depth to the atmosphere on certain rides.

However, if it's used badly (just a big bass track banging the whole way around) then it could spoil an otherwise good ride.

I'd like to see it in an NL update, but I wouldn't wanna host the resulting track files!

I agree with rocketboy's assessment of speakers in the cars...only problem is getting the music in the cars in the first place...but there's wireless speakers for that. Anyway - I think that more people would use music in conjunction with moving 3ds objects - wouldn't it be great to have a monster snort, open its mouth, and roar? anyway - if nothing else, it would be nice to have peals of thunder in an environment...

But the problem is with moving 3ds is it would take to long to do it, and nobody would use moving 3dS anyways because it would take to long to do, and it defeats the purpose of a ride, music may enhance a ride, but you don't need moving 3DS. but i think sound would be a good thing
