For all of the lazy people out there (like me!) who don't want to spend hours building the support structure for an intamin hypercoaster, I've made a 3ds file that can be used instead. All that will need to be done in order to use it is 1) insert it into your track file and size it however you want, 2) adjust your track angle to match up with it, and 3) connect the track to the support structure.

Before anybody says it, I already know that it isn't completely accurate to how intamin would build it. The way I see it though is that lazy people can't be too picky about things like that. [:P]

Here's a pic: Image

Here's the link for the file: http://d1jlserver.dnsalias.net/CCDev2/p ... fm?fid=586

Supports were made by using the NL woodbuilder, then editing and transforming the supports, and then saving the structure as a 3ds file with the NL construction kit. I've also reduced the polys a bit so that your FPS shouldn't be affected much.

I hope that some of you find this useful. [:)]

First off, put the file in your nolimits/objects folder. Then select it in the editor by clicking on 'scenery' and then 'choose scenery object'. Find the object in the list and then put it in your track file. The object will have 5 colored dots near it in the editor. Use the green dot to move the object around, the blue dot to resize the object, and the yellow dot to rotate the object. It shouldn't be necessary to use the other two dots.

Hope this helps!

Although I hate building supports, I think I'll stick to the old way, unless I want different colored supports or sumthing.

Does anybosy know if there is a way to change the colors on those supports because I was gonna use them on a roller coaster but the supports for my track are green.

I opened it in that anim8 program but I can't figure out how to change the color or add a texture.

Idk...I don't think I'd use something like that...what happens if you want to use it with a terraformed coaster? And, besides...there's something about building your own supports. Maybe I'm just not lazy, but I think it's still an interesting idea.

I can terraform around it and it's too late to change it because I already built the track around it. The track weaves in and out of the supports quite a few times.
