After I saw the giga coaster catwalks in SM, I think they should position them correctly for NL.

Your right. Anyway, I've got a nice idea too (it wasn't really my idea, I just read it somewhere who'd like this too). Make an option where you can place, and move the camera wherever you want, your own speed and such things. The fly view has many options too, but I think it could be better.

Yeah, but I have no idea how to texture a light. lol. I don't even know how to get rid of shading on 3d spheres. I set all the material settings, but the don't really apply in the sim. Oh well, maybe Bino Maus or some other 3d master can teach me. lol.

Ok, it's not there anymore for some reason. Anyway, how can we get these ideas to the developement team?

rotating grids in editor, option to use circular grid with user-definable center

I want the whole program to be more accurate.. A train will clear a block, and the one behind it is effected on the lifthill and won't go, even tho its safe to.. There is like a 2 second delay or some crap like that. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

they said that arrow/morgan hypers are not high on their to-do list... piplines would be nice.

I think they should add those hypers. It would be very nice because you can also use it to resemble other types like the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Or the Gemini. (Dispite the difference in the car styles)

Edit: Another idea: use single-faced 2d trees that always face the cam and are animated to simulate wind. Using single-faced trees could greatly increase framerates for forest coasters, and they look better too. Also, an easier way to place tree in the editor and also, 3d trees would be nice.

single faced trees wouldn't look that good imo, i think randalltgenxr was working on some full-3D trees, but i dont know if he finished. and for an easer way to place trees, use terraformer, it has an tree placing thingy.

Muilti-faced 2d trees look like crap compared to single-faced tree. As always, 3d ones look the best, but overhurt framerates for forest coasters. Terraformer's tree placer doesn't work well for creating forests, just so you know.

Just had a good idea, if the development team read this: For the next update can we have a colour pipette thingy for selecting coaster colours? Like in fireworks, where you can drag your mouse over a certain picture and pick the colour at your mouse point. It would make picking colours for coasters alot easier!

yeah, like in fireworks, except they aren't adding anything more to 1.5, and the next thing they probably will start working on is NL2, I know this cuz I read the facts, lol. I wonder if they have updated the site yet, brb.

Hmm.. Single faced trees won't work in any 3d-simulation. They work good in car simulations where you stay at a certain height, but as soon as you can go OVER the tree, they are completely useless. The only way to prevent them from looking even worse than those that we have would be to completely animate them from different angles. The Sim then would have to load the right animation depending on the angle you look at the tree. But this would cost enormous power and lots of data for the textures and is just not usefull.

Buster.

Not really. I had a forest coaster w/ single faced trees in HR, and another forest coaster in NL with their trees. We all know HR runs alot slower that NL, right? Yet HR had the upper hand in the framerates. I had about 20 fps on my really old PC thats no longer useable, And the same 20 fps on my NEW, all powerfull PC. Having muilti-faced trees allows you to see the "edge" of the sides and just looks "papery". Not to mention the back of the tree, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I hope they release 1.5 ASAP because it's taking kinda long.
