On www.gadv.com there are pics of supports that arrived. There is definitely going to be a new coaster, most likely an intamin rocket coaster. The supports are similiar but thicker and larger than TTD's supports, but since the track length is shorter I don't see how it can be taller and faster (unless they shortened the brakerun and launch section).

If there comes another ttd, where do they wanna place it? if it's suppost to be higher and faster. Isn't the launch section going to be huge then?

Certainly TTD support collums are alot longer than the ones of those at SFGadv, which would suggest the coaster not being as big

Also TTD is 2800 long not 1800

hmm that sounds a bit iffy, unless they increased the acceleration and deceleration G's of the brakes and catapult, and from what I have heard, the acceleration and deceleration G's on TTD are 2 which I believe are almost the max. So basically unless the G's of the acceleration and/or deceleration are higher, which is almost impossible (I think) the track lenght will have to be longer than TTD, which is about 2800 feet. I mean if they do make a coaster faster and taller than TTD, its probally gonna be only like 430 feet and 125-135mph, which is just enough to be faster and taller than TTD. Then again, who knows what kind of technology may alow a track to be higher and faster but shorter in length than TTD? [confused]

The acceleration gs may be 2 for TTD, but definitely not for the brakerun. If the brakes decelerated at 2g then it would only need about half of it's brakerun.

i dont think that it will be taller and faster than TTD, and i think its stupid to clone TTD if it cant even operate constantly.

It's probably gonna be either like Xcellerator or StormRunner

Yeah, thats what I'm thinking...but I don't understand why a coaster like that would need such huge supports :/

Even if the brake run is shorter - how are they going to get it back to the station without using more track?

The supports could be wider depending on several issues. Including:
Ground Texture/consistancy
Weather - Strong winds
Weight of the track/trains - It also depends on how high gs are going to be. Remember under about 5 gs the train will be 5 times heavier so would need strong supports to hold it up.
And loads of other factors i cant e bothered to think of. Also why would they open such a huge coaster at SFGadv if it is 400ft+. I would have expected them to build it at a better known park such as SFMM. Although saying that, other big coasters have been built at parks never heard of. I personaly think it will be another coaster like Xcelerator

okay, i heard this rumor too, and supposedly its false. the track is simply too short for the ride to be bigger than dragster. also, it would kinda suck if a six flags park got the tallest ride in the world.
