those aren't suspended coasters [;)] wicked twister is an impulse coaster and raptor is an inverted coaster. a suspended coaster is either a ride like big bad wolf, iron dragin, or the suspended looping like all the vekoma SLC clones.

my favourite suspended is iron dragon [;)]

well all I can say is vortex, because it the only swinging suspended one ive been on..and it does pack quite a punch for a swinging suspended coaster. It has a nice drop off the top of the mountain and it also has a nice high speed helix just feet above the water near the end.

Big Bad Wolf simply laughs at all of the other suspended swinging coasters on the planet. Top Gun comes in a distant second. The thing that really sets Big Bad Wolf apart from all the others is the final 100 ft dive toward the Rhine River, and then being tuned almost completely on your side through the 2 wicked fast final turns at 55 mph. Not to mention the fact that you feel like you are going to get your feet chopped off in the first half of the ride. BBW is just awesome.

mines-Wiked Twister

mine's Raptor

OMG THOSE AREN'T SUSPENDED!!! Geez. My favorite is... ahch, I've only been on Iron Dragon. So I guess it has to be my favorite.

those aren't suspended coasters

You should have shouted at them. [:)]

BTW, Why is vekoma's SLC considered suspened? It should be considered inverted because it's the only suspended that doesn't swing. Just my opinion.

Suspended mine would have to be Big Bad Wolf. But Inverted mine would definitley have to be Raptor.

Vekoma SLC = SUSPENDED Looping Coaster
And intamin also calls their designs "suspended looping coaster" (check their website).
In fact, even B&M officially called their designes "suspended" before someone from the PRESS called it "inverted" when reporting about nemesis and coined that desingation.
So yeah, "suspended" coaster is more correct and official than "inverted coaster"

So before you shout at people for not knowing what they're talking about, get it straight. [;)]

While some people argue that a Suspended coaster is a better name, it is often easier to class fixed axis coasters inverted ones, and ones on a swinging arm suspended. I'd call the inverts as the train is more fixed to the track than a suspended.

Yeah, I agree actually, but there's no reason to shout at people.
I heard the vekoma SLC model was originially designed to swing AND do inversions, but they changed the design somewhere along the way, which is also one of the reasons the train is so rough (not as reinforced because it was supposed to swing).

I havn't been on any yet, but my favourite inverted coaster is batman: the ride.

I know SLC is suspended, but I just didn't know why. Anyways, the topic starter should have just said, "favorite suspended/inverted coaster" or "favorite coaster that hangs on the track"

If that's what you mean, then my favorite would be Raptor.

Yeah, you're correct. Vekoma shouldn't have named it an SLC anyways.

before someone from the PRESS called it "inverted" when reporting about nemesis and coined that desingation

Screw that person then, getting us all confused, lol.

Well, for me it is Ninja if you mean suspended in that way.
