First of all, this is in the real coasters topic because it is a real coaster, even though its a model. Now to the point, check out this Raptor Recreation made with the Coaster Dynamix kits, its amazing how accurate it is.http://www.coasterdynamix.com/Gallery.aspx?album=5

Yeah it looks pretty cool, once I get college started and settle down I'm planning on buying a kit or two. I'm also going to try and make it a standard sit down coaster by machining some custom wheel trollies.

They say they're making new kits and that a woodie kit is done but still going through all the marketing and production, also they have mentioned perhaps making a sitdown kit as well. Who knows, pretty soon, they might have more train styles than NL.

Where did you read all that? I just read the other day that it is just a part time job/hobby for the creators and they don't really have much time to make anything new like that, especially the wood one.

It is in the forums, the staff post in them every once in awhile. You can check out a POV/regular vid of the ride and find out more about it at their site.

Do you have any links to them saying that? Because if they did infact say they will be making new trains or something I might as well wait and purchase it later.

That really narrows it down....

I'm a member on thier forum and I've searched through almost every single thread and I have yet to find it.

on your post someone mentioned it, and check the one topic about the progress or what ever its called. Also, at one other site i think i found out about the mult. kit proposals, it was at a site of a friend of the coasterdynamix's staff. Sorry I can't be of more help, but this is all the info I know for now.

hmm, I found this:
Just to let everyone know that we are not just sitting around... we are working hard at trying to finalize all the particulars on the next run of kits. We are working on boring things like setting up distribution and dealer networks. But we do have time to brainstorm on fun things such as our next major project. We have begun the ambitious task of designing a working model of a wooden coaster in HO scale. The realism and attention to detail will, of course, set new standards in modeling. The model will not be expandable and may come pre-assembled. Rest assured, it will be spectacular (after all it will be designed by a member of the Gravity Group). So as details become available we will update this site. Also, we have been working on a station design, working brakes, and other train styles for the Dragon. In other words, we are busy! We'll be in touch.

But I also found this :( :
Honestly, I would like to see an Arrow coaster too, but it won't be happening anytime soon from us. We have so many other projects we need to work on and with this being a part-time job for Mike and I we just don't have the time to make everything we might like. We must concentrate on items that help grow the business and are profitable. Namely, accessories that compliment the Dragon.

Yeah. Its good to see the progress they are making though, who knows how good this can end up with numerous accessories.

You get what you pay for.

Price usually reflects quality.

Now they just need to make a modifiable wood coaster model, and I will be very happy. Still, this is an awesome kit, and the thing I like most about it is that you can change the track style however you want, as opposed to other kits where you could just build the coaster they give you to start out with... and the wheels on the coaster cars actually let it behave like a real one, as opposed to the K'Nex one, where the train had so much friction that it could only traverse a miniscule distance without getting stuck. Coasterdynamix is truly awesome, and I can only hope that they will release more products in the future.

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully I can get the money for it sometime soon, though. I want it really badly.

would be nice to hav e one only i think 500 euros is a bit TOO expensive... and if that dragon is allready 500 what would you think how expensive the raptor will be!
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

Its 500 US, not 500 Euro's. And the Raptor was put together with 2 of the Dragon kits. So it probably cost over $1000 to make, plus the paint and all the other stuff.

Its just a hobby type deal. No different than anyone here putting countless hours into making coasters in NOLimits or RCT.
