Hi all you Intamin fans :)

Just one quick query:

Surely y'all know of the "Shockwave" in Drayton Manor (stand-up coaster, designed and built by Intamin). I was just wondering if any of you know the purpose of the rather long, flat, straight section in there. Couldn't they have stuck at least a hill in?

Steve :)

Ohhhhhhh, and on a side note, have any of you guys ever tried something along the lines of "The Apocolypse" in DM?

I believe Intamin refers to it as the "Giant Drop" rides. My god is that fun. Nothing like going from 200ft in the air to ground in three seconds :)

I've gotta admit though, I felt a little uneasy when I found out it was a glorified fridge magnet stops the things. Makes sense when you think about it though...

I just remember that for the shockwave (i think just for the shockwave)
That the straight track is roar section (does what it says it is) just to imtimidate the geusts. Or other wise its a sand filled roar section so it doesnt make a noise

You do get a decent view of the park from there though - I'm sure I read somewhere it was for the view too. I still say you'd get a better view from the top of a hill though :P
