I must of been on a slow train, cause I barely felt any air, but when I stand and watch a train fly over the top of the crest at like 124, I wonder how there hearts dont explode.

Yea CJD, I ride front almost every time. When the lines long, and Im with my girlfriend (whom usually wears contacts, and wont ride front since she cant open her eyes so contacts dont fly to back of eyes) we ride back. So this year, unlike last, ive had a good mix of front and back.

AGain today, rode back seat. We got one of the faster trains, and got decent air over, but got RIPPED all the way down the spiral. Its a weird feeling, you are normally used to the air ceasing once you crest, but it just keeps on giving it to ya :D

They won't... But if I do ONE stupid thing, and I mean ONE, I'm sure to get banned. As a newb, I've done quite a few stupid things on mostly every board I went to. (including this one)

Anyways, TTD has weightlessness? it's ejecotr air actually. IT has alot of air at the top. I think Raptor is the one that has weightlessness on the first drop. BTW, if MF has -.3g, then it's just plain impossible to have weightlessness on TTD unless the launcher doesn't do it perfectly. The same cause for the rollbacks on TTD too.

lol, I'm not saying its not hard to get banned from there as I was banned before ever making a post or anything. But as long as you think before you post and don't say anything stupid like a 12 year old would, then you should be fine.

[EDIT]
CoasterSims related issue sent to Edge by Private Message.

But as for TTD, isnt it impossible to go from no air to ejector instantly on an intamin coaster? The top hat is designed so the G's never get out of hand, even on a wide range of speeds. Ive seen and ridden it from 119 to 125 (never having a rollback) and never got G's I couldnt handle, but yes they do vary.

But in order to get from no G's, you have to go to floater, then to ejector. It also totally depends on your seat as I mentioned. Front seats get ejector as it crests the hill, no more after. Middle gets pretty much floater all the way over. Back seat gets nothing till it crests, then it gets ejector over the end of the top and pretty much down the spiral.

think about this logically... because the track is completely vertical going up the hill, you naturally are experiencing 0 posotive g's all the way up. Now, here's where it gets complicated... when you launch a projectile, it will naturally follow a parabolic motion. If you draw the parabola on paper, you can see how the track compares. If the track path is under the parabola, it means that you will experience negative g's. If it follows the parabola exactly, you will experience weightlessness all the way over the hill. If the track is above the parabola, you will experience "floater" airtime, but stay in your seat. On TTD, the natural parabola on the way up would be for the hill to be completely vertical. (think about it... if you throw a ball straight up, it will fall straight back down.) But as we all know, TTD does not continue going straight up, it crests over the top of the 420 ft hill. At the moment when the elevation changes from vertical to the crest, the track is going lower than the ideal parabola, which means that mathematically there is no possible way to not experience negative g's on the way up. The same is true on the way down.

Are you sure there? It must be the sudden change in G's then because in the front seat, right as its starting to crest its more than floater air.

I just got back from Indiana Beach, And cornball is the DEFINITION of Floater air, or as a friend put it, phloater. Best. Ride. Ever.

Anyways, though yea. I would assume alot of it is illusion. I think when you go down the spiral from the back of the train its just the force of it accelerating at a very quick rate that makes it feel more than floater, if it is, but still the feeling you get is more extreme than just floater air I know that! I know cause I am being pulled into my bar pretty heavily, where as floater in those restraints you feel, but you dont move.

Im not gonna touch the CS stuff in public here, not right. If you want to talk to me about it, PM me, I can probably explain what you are saying better. But try to grow up and leave the site bashing to private conversations. That doesnt even happen at CS, I challenge you to find similar conversations. But back on topic.

You know thats BS because you dont know half the story of the ways CS.Com backstabbed wws.com. Were portrayed as the bad guys here (even though we couldnt care less) and that is BS. It is up to WWS to tell people the ways in which CS.Com has tried to screw us over, furthermore your statement about 'that doesnt happen at CS...you do realise your in a community full of people that have been banned from CS.Com for no reason here? Myself included, so whatever

Anyways this isnt really the time or place to discuss it as all the admins from certain sites will start flocking to this thread (oh the fun)

after riding TTD, I would say that there are about 4.5g's going up. (I could barely keep my hands up), and -.5 to -.7 g's just before the crest of the tophat. A noteworthy piece of information is that there are no -g's all the way over the top... right before the crest, you get some -g's, but all the way over the top, there are no -g's at all. then, just before the spiral, you get some more -g's, but not as much as on the way up.

that's right. You get some air on the very start of these outside top hat things, then you get more leaving the top. Basically, your being thrown out of the car.[:D]
If you want to talk to me about it, PM me

how can we PM you if they're no option avaible to PM you?
