I'm not satified with the resolution. Many of the claims he makes are just wrong. For instance, I've tried every way possible, and there is no way to make this ride crash with e-stop (or any other way). All brake runs are properly angled, etc. I do use some of the newer braking features of NL 1.5, so maybe he's using an older version or something. He also claims that the g-forces are too high. All verts are in the green (and positive never even gets over 4). Highest lat is 1.6 (verified in all 4 corner seats, at 25% speed, fps 40 or better). That is WELL within whats allowed. ASTM Standards allow laterals of ug to 3g for short speaks, and 1.5-2.0g for over 10 seconds. In addition, as can be seen here from Premier Rides spec sheets (http://www.premier-rides.com/specdex.html), they allow laterals of up to 2 on their woodies. Thirdly, he claims there is pumping. Where? This ride is 100% tool built and mathematically perfect. As far as I'm concerned this rate is just Javixxxx being his usual self and finding some BS way to dump on whatever I do.

Well just because it was built mathematically does not make it perfect, in terms of pumping. But I agree that otherwise your argument falls into your favor this time. Of course that is just MO, its up to the mods/admins.

Lets see: The problem whit the E-Stop is that when you presed, the train locked, on the mcbr, but if you unlock, the next train will arrive to the Brakes. Anyway, independent than the track could crash, the train blocked in the mcbr can't complete the ride.

About G Forces, yup, i think it could be to 2.0, but your turns were not good builded: Its supposed that banking is made to reduce G force, not for increase, and also reaching those hight-spikes g force, makes the rider feel unconfortable (easy example: Magnus Colosus @ Terra Mitica). Also, dont say reach 1.5, just ride the track at 100% and you will see how g force shows to be 1.8LAT, and not more than one time. As i said, independent for g force there are some fails about how it was designed, and this is why the problem is still here

About the pumping, well, tools can be usefull, but if you use too much them you can discover some bumps and pumps, not too much, but specially notable on turns.

I think my rate is good explained, and all problems have been fixed, main problems are the layout of the woody, and that provides those fails.

50% of all complaints on this first page of the complaint forum are from, take a guess...go on its not hard....Real, no i mean Tyler. Tyler you admit that you rate harsh, but yet when over people rate your tracks harsh you always seem to complain. Alright maybe you cant really understand what the hell Dj is saying but he is entitled to his opinions and seems to well explain all his rates.

Well, since my other thread was locked, I'm gonna repost here:

Do you just not freaking get it edge? He is claiming flaws THAT DO NOT EXIST. There are NO e-stop fails on that ride, and claiming g-forces are too high on a VERY FRAMERATE INTENSIVE WOODIE at 100% speed is just not accurate. G-forces reported in NL are very framerate dependent. It's very easy, if you're getting less, than say, 40fps, particuallry at 100% speed, to see forces that just aren't there.

Javixxx: I challenge you, to A: Post a screenshot of the ride crashed. and B: Post a screenshot of these 1.8 laterals WHEN YOU'RE getting decent FRAME RATE and at 25% speed. I don't see how that's too much to ask.

Well, after testing, i must say sorry for e-stop, it seems a bug on NL that made the brake blocked and dont let the train go, but, on the other hand, i see that MCBR is not 100% straight (3DView - Straight segment)

Same also about g forces, but it continues reaching at 200% vel up to 1.8, i make screenshots on 100% and at 25%, and appart of the bad-layout of the turn, we can see it reachs 1.7

But real life coasters reach up to and over 2 in some instances? How is 1.8 bad? I know for a fact that Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain hits over 2 for sure and it has to be one of the most FUN rides Ive ever been on. Trains are padded, but its also the most violent ride hands down Ive been on too.

Sorry, I see no merit if real life standards are almost double what is being said is bad.

Real personally, i think is bad it reachs so hight as a consequence of bad banking whit the turn [:)] and is not the only bad-banked turn, if that turn was banked about 20????????? the g force will be aceptable, also some turns seems like they where banked out, and imo i think that is not good for this coaster. Anyway, the main problems still here

Yes, how horrible that a woodie have actual lateral forces... As for the brakes... looks perfectly straight here, doesn't move an inch of I do a make straight.

Here it moves a little, just a little, about 0.001mm lol, believe me. And a woode who have lateral g forces good build is great, but in your case it would be horrible, you can make lat g forces making more banked the turns and more closed

Wow ... how trifling can you get? [lol][lol][lol]

I think cool has a point though (imagine that - me agreeing with cool) -- who cares is the real issue. It is DJ, let it go. LOL I'll rate it tonight and you already know what I am gonna give it based on what I saw and told you about. heh ... should equal him out more or less. It is a rate, he explained it rather than being a moron (cough jubjo cough) so let it go, eh?

[lol] Anyway, sorry for posting here staff ... I shall assume the position now ... [lol]

In advance, I apologize for this post in this thread but I feel its more educational than confrentational :)

Yea, I think you are mistaken in your interpetation of lateral forces.

Take a look at this turn. Its underbanked, which to you, is bad.
http://www.real-coasters.com/tripreport ... rn7_m.html

Heres the facts: You say that you can make laterals by banking MORE and making the turn tighter (or faster). This actually, is far more uncomfortable and I dont know of a single ride in the world which overbanks and is ENJOYable. The only ones I know of are the Arrow Corkscrews and everyone complains about the laterals in that element.

when you create laterals, you always underbank. Why? Lets look at the forces:

Underbanked forces- When you enter the turn, the track creates lateral forces on the rider, who, in an underbanked turn, is sitting more upright. This forces the rider into the side of the seat (normally padded) while sitting up. A very comfortable way to feel intense forces.

Overbank forces- Lets have the same turn, but overbank it. the laterals will be in the opposite direction, plus, gravity will be pulling you down. So youll be getting combo forces where the rider is hanging over the edge of the car, getting vertical forces plus lateral. Its a really uncomfortable feeling I would assume.

The same thing happens when people bank FLAT turns to 90 degrees. NEVER should a flat turn be banked at 90 degrees because you will also feel 1 full lateral G caused from the earths gravity (being laid on side remember)

Im not sure where you got your theory on wooden coasters and laterals. the idea is to make wooden coasters intense and rough feeling while also keeping the ride enjoyable. I also dont mean this as a condensending post DJ, I am just really confused as to where you developed these notions about wooden coasters and their construction and objectives.

I think it's quite clear that the rating should be deleted. If the rating stays, Tyler at least deserves an explanation of why DJavixxxxx's rating was considered valid. DJ doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.

i have no reason posting in here because it's the complaint forum but this time i have to be on javixxxxx's side. although some o fhis rating IS complete crap, i don't think the ride is really worth much more than he gave it. its transitions are hard, it goes too fast in some spots, it has bumps, is over-banked, under supported, or under banked in spots and it does get yellow lateral g's. the yellow lats aren;t that much of a problem just because they ARE realistic but the rest of the ride IMO isn't really terrific, just above average. as usual it doesnt pump because you used elementary but it also looks like you put almost no time into perfecting it because you popped it out so soon after the rules and template for the round were posted. not to mention it simply looks like you didnt put too much into it. i think that this whole problem is a combonation of you tyler not wanting to accept an average rate and javixxxxx not really knowing what he's talking about. i don;t think the rate should be deleted, i think it should be changed to explain what really is wrong with the ride. but overall i think the actual number of the rating is not too low, especially considering that this ride contains flaws that you (tyler) have taken points off for in the past (yellow g's, 4 g's on a woodie, etc).

Tyler, you know what, this coaster isn't even qualified to win a weekly medal. Contest coasters are notorious for getting low rates, but it doesn't matter because they aren't qualified for a medal anyway. The only rating on this coaster that will really count for anything is the one that I will give you next Friday. Javixxxxx's rating was on the border line, but he did explain himself. This time, the rating stays. If the coaster was in contention for a weekly medal, we would look into it more. In this case, if you want a higher rating just get some more people to rate.

Thanks a lot Real for aclarations. Im not too agree whit some of them, but i think that some other are you right, so AS a result, i would make highter the technical rate (+1), because as im seeing in wrong in some places

Anyway, im going to keep the rate at Adrenaline and at Originality because on that, i think im right. Topic closed? [lol]
