Check this out.http://rcdb.com/installationgallery1062.htm?Picture=12
It is 2 coasters, a schwarzkopf and a wild mouse, that were intertwined due to space constraints, they look like they'd be awesome to ride, with how compact it is and all those supports being all over the place.

lol, a picture of these coasters just showed up in ACE news... the experts say that the schwarzkoph coaster is awesome, because you always feel like you're going to lose your head in the crossovers. A very good idea, and it works.

The Anton coaster is Jetline I believe. I features, get ready, a CURVED chain lift, yes, a curving chain. I used to have a POV somewhere, though now its nowhere to be found.

It looks to be quite fun, so does the mouse.

Yes it is Jetline, or Berg- och Dalbanan, both are listed in rcdb for its name, and the wild ouse is named Vilda Musen. They are located at a park in Stockholm Sweden. If you'd like even more info, go here. http://coastersandmore.de/rides/vildamu ... main.shtml

"The park, located in the heart of Swedens capital Stockholm, measures just four and a half hectares and houses 30 attractions, including three roller coasters. The largest one was built in 1988 and the newest opened in the spring of 2003 to celebrate the 120th birthday of the leasure park. At first sight it's startling that those two coasters share exactly the same location, but for Peter Osbeck, the park?????????s chief of operation, this is just a natural thing."
From coastersandmore.com, 4.5 hectares and 30 attractions!!!! When you think about that, that's insane. It's about the size of a large backyard, and has 3 coasters and 30 attractions! Simply amazing![:O][worship]

Are you sure it's a CHAIN lift and not a pinch-wheel drive like on zonga?
I wonder how thats possible, not saying you're wrong, I'm just checking because that seems really odd.

I love the symbolism of this ride: Schwartzkopf, genious #1 builds one of his early steel coasters, then Stengel, genious #2 (and ex-colleague of schwartzkopf), builds literally "on top" of it. [pshades]

I've seen these rides before in one of my ICT lessons at school, the work is easy and I'm done in 5 mins, so I have to wait an hour for everyone else to finish before I can do the next thing, so I spend a long time trauling through RCDB and stuff at school hehe. These rides would be good on their own but because they are intertwined like they are they would just be awsome, its like something off RCT.

Not a regular lift chain. I'm pretty sure most lift chains only bend in one direction, which is vertical, not horizontal because that's the way the individual segments are connected. Also, it would be hard to keep the chains in propper position if you just "bend" it, since the track also slopes upwards.

---Edit: What i said is true for most coasters, however i checked and several schwartzkopf coasters (jet star and jumbo jet models) have spiral lifts.---

As long at the chain is on a gradual and constant turn it can bend slightly. If its a sudden kink type bend then no, the chain would break. And if you look close at most chain lifts the chain is housed in a box type thing with an opening at the top allowing the train to grab onto it and also to keep the chain contained and in the proper direction. The chain can also engage the sprockets at the beginning and ending at an angle, as long as it isn't too big of an angle.
It functions much like a bicycle chain and gears
