Stapling is when the ride ops push the restraints down until they are pinning you to the seat

Yea what FN said, and I was just adding to your post G-force as it is kinda obvious that they wouldn't want people to get hurt or killed.

stapling sounds like it sucks, and knotts is such a great park, they have such good rides and they have to ruin the atmosphere, they alreaady had that woman fall of the log ride.

I like Six Flags Great America, and thats the only six flags i really like, that and magic mountain. Also great america doesnt staple except for superman ultimate flight, and there were only 2 accidents that six flags took responsobility for and thats was the demon kept getting stuck in the loop. A little girl chocked on gum while on raging bull(which is retarted to chew gum on a hyper twister) and a worker got hit by a mouse train coaster while working on it. And i cant wait till frightfest because i love the whizzer at night, that was my first coaster. Anybody here like raging bull?

wow, isnt this old? anyway cant believe this didnt come to mind earlier, Cannobie Lake, 3 coasters all under 70 ft., one runs only 1 train with 3 PTC cars, one is 20 seconds long with two corks and sux, and one is a mouse like coaster, but hardly runs.

Canobie lake is far from crapy. It is old yes. Needs better rides, YES....but crapy NO!

it is my home park, i like right next to it. It is a fun, Small, "FAMILY" park.

I think they need to get rid of the corkscrew, and getsomthing nice and original. but thay are poor no because they spent all their money on StarBlaster, and that really sucks!

Why all the negativity? All it does is spawn people to cut down rides, parks and make all these biased and unwaranted statements.

Ive yet to go to a sucky park, Cedar Fair, Six Flags, Disney, Universal or family owned (Indiana Beach). To be honest, I have favourites at all of them. I would say the park that I noticed that had some issues was SFGreat America and at the time, SFWorlds of Adventure, but since CF took over it shaped up real fast.

A crappy park IMO is NOT MADE CRAPPY BY ITS RIDES, but by its maintenance, employees, cleanliness and so forth. But, unfortunatly, most people who call themselves enthusiasts are nothing more than coaster bashers...

I would say the crappiest is by far Strikers Grove in Hamiliton OH. It has 2 really really small wooden coasters and a bunch of those carivanl spinning rides.

Canobie lake park was the first amusement park I ever went to and I've gone there more then any other park. Part of its charm is that its like walking into the 1950's, it hasn't changed much really. The Yankee Cannonball was my first ever coaster so theres alot of fond memories of that wooden beauty. This coaster gets me screaming every time and I don't think I've been on a coaster where it seems like EVERY person comes away with a huge grin on their faces. To ridicule this coaster just because of its height and length is not that smart. Its a classic out and back and I get huge airtime especially in the back, its a very deceiving ride for sure. If anything I think both Canobie and its old school coaster are underrated, definitely not crappy, to say that is just absurd. I'd take it over the flashy, corporate six flags any day imho. In fact, one of my all time favorite memories was from two years ago at Canobie lake, me and my exgirlfriend went on the Davinci's dream swing ride. It was at dusk and the ride swings around to a perfect view of the lake and the gorgeous sky, words can't describe how beautifully serene that moment was. :) I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who calls themselve an amusement park or rollercoaster enthusiast to visit this park, you won't regret it :) Sorry for sounding like I work for the park or something, I don't :)

That park is awesome! What park would take a trim off of the beginning of a coaster and put it at the brakerun? Also, name a park that just for the hell of it would let a coaster fly through the station without braking it all? They're very laid back there, and certainly allow you to have more fun than any Six Flags or Cedar Fair park would.

... yankee cannonball is one of the most airtime + lat filled (and smoothest) wooden rides anywhere.. how could it be bad? (and btw, it runs 2 trains) and galaxy has been open every time i've gone except for when they were doing repairs on it.

honestly, i like the small family owned theme parks better. and yes, canobie lake is a great example. the old and most of the time smaller theme parks have a certain charm that six flags and cedar point just dont have. and that's why i have to say that the worst park IMO is six flags great adventure.

the staff is terrible, the park is dirty, it's seemingly all pavement and has virtually no beauty to it. there's nowhere to just sit and relax. i hate the park. the only thing good there are the coasters... which i feel bad for because they're good rides in a bad park.

...BUT the absolute worst park EVER in the history of mankind is the enchanted forest in hopkington (exeter?) rhode island. I said sfgadv was the worst because it's the worst real park. the enchanted forest is owned by rockwell amusements which is a carnival company. so it's because all of its rides (with the exception of mabey 3) are carnival transportable rides, i don't qualify it as a real park.

but here's why its bad: when i was little, my mom took me there a few times and it was nice. it was family owned then and had a certain charm to it. then rockwell bought the park, and now all the trees are gone. it's like a pile of rides in a clearing in the woods. all the trails are gone. you walk in the spaces between the fences around the rides. and here's my number one reason why the park sucks: I applied to work there last summer. I brought back my application and was greeted by an old man (70-ish) who was putting the rides together by hand. he told me to go into the office where there was an instruction manual and a baggie of spare parts that was left over from the construction of a ride ( the guy was looking up where they were supposed to go). i was greeted (at the office) by a man who had HALF A NOSE! it looked as if the other half had been cut off somehow. he had a bandaide on it so it may have been recent and healed a bit. i gave him the application and he said that they were only hiring for ride ops. he asked how old I was, and i said i can't be a ride op b/c i was 17 at the time (legally you have to be 18 in RI). he looked at me and said "well... you look old enough so you should be safe as long as nobody questions you. and in that case, you can just say your 18 and it'll be okay" right about then, i thanked mr 1/2 nose for his time and left. also, I found an article that the year before, a horse fell off their carousel because of poor maintenence. lol, you can't argue with that being the worst park!!! (all 4 of the employees at the time were of the "carney" type(old, vulgar and dirty))

HA! beat that!

Not everything owned by Six Flags sucks, I hear that SFSL is pretty good, and Same with SIx Flags Great AMerica, its just that majority of them suck.

Yeah, SFStL is a great park, IMO, with some awesome rides in Mr. Freeze, the icy smooth mirror B:TR, Screamin' Eagle, and of course, Boss owns all...

And SFGAm is also a pretty nice and clean, with some good rides in Raging Bull, Viper, B:TR, and Vertical Velocity....

I heard the Nashville Valley amusement park is really dinky, but I've never been there. It's the only amusemsnt park within rasonable distance of where I live since opryland was turned into a mall.

The worst park I have been to would be Lightwater Valley, theres nothing that good there. It isnt crappy, its a fun day out, but they suffer from a lack of good rides (Sure The Ultimate is long, but its too drawn out). Also, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is one of the worst parks i've seen for the control in the park. Theyve got some great rides, but the maintenance of the place is extremely poor.

well, the worst park I've been to is Adventer City or something like that, it's a kiddy park and I went there for some lil` kids birthday, and I was board the whole time, it's like being underage at Octoberfest, all you do is eat and blow away $30 on food.

I have never been to an amusement/theme park that I would consider crappy. Epcot Center in Disney World would have to be the lowest thing I've ever been to. The 2 six Flags I've been to rock(GrAd and NE) and other then that everythings been pretty good. Even a park in Santa Lucia, Cuba was pretty good with 1 coaster.(todo en uno)

I'm from St.Louis, and have worked for SFSTL for two years in the past, and have had a season pass there for 20 years straight, but have to say its the worst park out of the 23 i've been to.
