yes, indeed. It won't be posted for several months, but I am working on recreations of all 16 of Cedar Point's coasters.

Sorry guys I wasnt making a re-creation of MF, just trying to find a way on how to make the lift chain increase speed at certain locations of the lift without setting the chain acceleration to .1. I found out how to, but I am not an awsome coaster designer so the pressures on CJD! [lol]

why not just put two chain sections on the hill with a tiny tiny tiny track piece in between?

No matter what you do, you will have to sacrifice either track length/height statistics, or, sacrifice the 9 car length to around 6 or 7 to get the train to keep the same speed.

If you go for the track dimensions (which I would prefer) youll need a smaller train to keep the same speed. If you go for the Train length, youll need to go alot shorter track and lower in areas because of the NL friction stuff. It just doesnt behave nearly the same.

Oh and Good luck...IMO probably the hardest coaster to make.

Are you making Disaster Transport? That'd be pretty tough. I made a CP pack but it was missing a few, and the poopy rides were just thrown together to fill up the pack more.[:D]

cjd, you're not making all 16 until 1.5 comes out. Why? Intamin track spline, shuttle coaster (wicked twister), etc.

Yes, I will be recreating Disaster Transport as well (now that I know how to use 3ds.) As for as the recreations go with train lengths, I would much rather have the ride 'feel' right than having the correct # of cars on the trains. I have to do this because of the crappy friction-based speed module NL uses. Millennium Force will have 6 cars per train instead of 9. This is the coaster I started to make first, and it is almost done now.

Wait till 1.5 comes out, maybe they'll fix the physics.

And how will anybody do a rec of DT? Look at old pics of Avalanche run? [lol]
