have you noticed that lately only newbies rates tracks. While looking though some tracks i notice lots of bad explained rates and a high rating. As example on a SM track: http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_exchang ... p?tid=5357

and here is an example on an NL track: http://www.coastercrazy.com/track_exchang ... p?tid=5376

But that just what i notice... what do you guys think...

I think we should encourage the new people to rate more, as well with the people who have been here for a while.
But if a newbie is making a string of bad rates, perhaps you should point them towards a good rating guide or something that could be of some use to them?

I'm a newbie and I thought I was slacking because I have'nt rated a coaster yet. The reason is that I dont feel that I'm good enough yet at building them to warrant any comments from me about other peeps designs as I might either over-rate or under-rate..This topic has put my mind at rest.

You also run into folks who do not know how to rate .... hence a one liner like: "I thought it was really great! You have pumping, but other wise it is awesome!" And then they give it a 5 thinking they have explained things.
Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.

yeah ive been getting alot of one liner rates latly from people and its starting to get old for me, but im not really complaining about it since the ratings havent been to bad latly, but i would definitly like it alot more if i could get a well described rating on my coasters that explains why they either liked it or didnt like it. Just some of my thoughts.
