Are we gonna have to put (1.5) in the title of coasters now, or are they cross compatible. i know 1.5 prob wont work in 1.3, but what about vice versa? will ppl have to update all of their coasters to 1.5?

IVe ridden most of my coaster made in the previous version in the new version so that isnt a problem. But anyone who still has 1.3 or below might have problems with the new track styles and trees. But its a free upgrade so i dont see how anyone wouldnt just download it. :D

I also just noticed the cartextures are totally different

As Fornication Nation say's is easy to update to version 1.5... if you are legal of course...
If you haven't buy NoLimits and you have 1.3, quickly! go to www.nolimitscoaster.com and BUY the licensed version

Let's help programmers! [:D]

I'll post (1.5) in the tittle of my creations so you can view what version requires.

Or if you are on a mac....... then we cant read some tracks. Here are how the new track types translate into the old (if you only have 1.3 like me):

Motor Bike Cars-Looping Coaster
Inverted Shuttle-Inverted coaster (2-car)
Intamin Inverted-Hyper coaster or Inverted Coaster (2-car)
Launched Looping Coaster-Looping Coaster

As of now I dont think that 1.3 NL cannot open a 1.5 created file.

All the old cartextures on the *UPDATED* coasters won't work either. The new cartextures are completly different, and use the .png format. In a way its easier, but its kinda hard finding out what goes where on the coaster lol.

I figured that because some coaster shapes are different I am guessing, great more confusion, on the contrary more options!

I can redo my own too.

BTW, 1.5 added dissapointments even though with all the updates.

I'm not used to the editor
Framerates go down, then on B&M's, go up
New default background should've been a skybox, not something that replaces the original color based background.
Launchers sometimes invisible (from one of the premade tracks that came with the update)
Editor trees don't match env, but better than the untextured shapes I guess.

But nothing against the update, it was good.

Edit: you can recreate the classic feel of the editor simply by going to the display for every view and turning off textures, just figured that out, lol.

Yeah my framerate is lower now in the editor than it is in the simulator which is weird.

Mine's not. Did you use software mode by accident?

score!!! NOw I can create Car Textures way easier, and I don't have to use that converter no mores. [pshades]

tis because we didn't give them enough time to make high quality version of the b&M cars. SO they still look like the old stuff. [;)] TTD is really bad, some times it doesn't even make it all the way. [:(] And FPS is supa horrible on that ride, but that's just another reason to upgrade video card. My frame rate hasn't decreased in editor, though, but I can see why it would affect some people.

Yeah, its alot easier than having to mask everything perfectly for it to look right on the old format.
The only tricky thing is figuring out what go where on the image in relation to on the coaster in the simulator. I've been working on a new cartexture for the corkscrew coaster, and its so sweet. You can make almost all of the coaster a custom design. Even the underside of the front car is open for a custom image

You will need to just fool around with them to find out where everything goes/is.

What I did for the new corkscrew coaster was put little colored dots all over it so that I could see what goes where.
Just experiment with it, but make sure you don't overright the default cartexture ;)
