No, I'm on a PC. I just wanted to stick up for you Mac users because I also remembered them saying they would be released at the same time. [:)]

Good damn it, we need multiple coasters! Period

yup, we do, along with multiple stations like California Screaming, and that new Rocket Coaster, and the one at hershey's park, and Air. We need those. Also, we need music.

I guess I'm a little happier than some of you about this update. They pretty much added what they said they were adding, so it really shouldn't have been a shock to anybody that certain things weren't included. About the only thing that wasn't included that I was really hoping for was the Schwarzkopf four rail box track, but oh well.

The things I really like about the update so far:

-terrain editor integrated into the track editor.
-vertex panel.
-improved blocking system.
-various graphical improvements.
-new station textures.
-multiple track style options available for some of the coasters.
-Premier LIM coasters.

The things I don't like (or don't really care much about):

-The heartline path. Everybody is praising this addition, but I don't really see how it is supposed to make heartlining any easier.
-Shuttle coasters. I've never really been a fan of them anyway.
-the new g-force calculations. I don't exactly dislike it, but it will definitely be harder to stay within limits now. And yes, I know it is more realistic.

something new, you know that heartline path you guys are disregarding? I've been using it, and I found out that it shows pumping (non consistant turn or hill in the track) a lot clearer than just the track itself. You can see it, because you can see strait line easiers, and that's bad (Pumping)

Cool326 ... you are 100% correct about the heartlining indicator. This is one feature that I enjoy big time.

If you don't like the heartline displaying thing, then just turn it off and forget about it. I think it's pretty helpful.

Good point coasteragent, I have it turned off now. I'm glad you find it useful though, and I look forward to seeing your perfectly heartlined coasters uploaded in the future. [;)] Seriously though, I really don't dislike the feature. I just don't understand how it's very helpful. Maybe I will figure out its usefulness later on.

Just found another useful feature. You can now move around in the editor by click/dragging with the right mouse button instead of having to use the scroll bars. Nice!

How do you get the terraformer toolbar to turn on? BTW, I suck at verticy adjusting so don't expect perfect heartlining until I learn how to use elementary's formulas, lol. BTW, hjave any of you noticed that the premade tracks on 1.5 are designed entirely with that? Look at the launch. It's made up of a bunch of unecesary segments.

Click on 'scenery', and then 'terrain settings'. Select something other than 'no terrain'. This should activate the terrain toolbar.

Okay, I will have to eat my own words now. I messed with the heartline path option a little more and have found it to be very useful, particularly when used along with the vertex panel. With the two tools together, I've made adjustments to my track that I would have never thought about doing before, and the results are turning out pretty good. I also suspect that since the g force calculations have been changed, using these tools may be the only way to keep the Gs in check.

By the way, I haven't seen many people mention the vertex panel. I suggest that everybody check it out because it is more helpful than you might realize, especially when making small adjustments.
