http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... efine:HTML

One is missing an "L", HOWEVER ... the acronym "HTM" does not exist in computer language. It is a common misconception that they are the same thing, but HTM does not exist (except in some web page addresses which is silly because it means nothing) ... HTML does and is short for Hypertext Markup Language.

HTML and HTM are the same thing. HTM is from the days when windows machines could not support long file names and extensions.

Bock, you are technically correct of course ... I was merely trying to not confuse the lad with more information than it appeared could be taken in. Mainly since HTM ain't been seen since Windows 3.1, I figured no way he was working on computers then. [;)]

Remember that a link is only a "pointer" to another location on the web. Just like JPG and BMP extensions in a web address bring up to different locations, but it could be the same picture, right? The same with HTM and HTML, different pointers, same possible outcome/location.
