Does anyone have the terraformer from gravimetricstudios? I know there is one that came with the NL update, but I want to use the old one for the simplicity of it until I have time to learn all the new stuff in the terraformer.

The reason I ask is that there is no download availible from gravimetricstudios anymore :(

I taught myself the new terraformer in about 10 minutes...not to mention I used the help function to figure out simple things, like how to raise and lower smaller and more precise areas.

SHouldnt take you more than 15 or 20...

Quick cap:

Hold Ctrl to move land up and down.
Want a smaller area to move? Go to Edit and turn off Auto-Smooth
Want Auto-Smooth but again, smaller moveable area? Go back to Edit, then to Smooth Strength and bring it down to 0.
Press space bar to unselect your markers
Press and hold your left mouse button, then drag it over the markers to select more than one

I figured all that out in just about 10 minutes, I used the help to figure out other key commands.

It's under one of the menus. Just look for it. BTW< in the editor, does anybody know how to make it display the terraformer tools in the toolbar? It says to go under "edit toolbar" but such menu is inexistent, or perhaps "hidden".

the new terraformer is easy (1.5)

click on a thingy
it becomes red
the yellow thingys are also effected, this can be changed by changing the size up top
move the red thingy up and down
up top there's a (change all to blue)
click that, and boom, your done.

I never understood the old terraformer, understood 1.5 in 2 minuets, the editor terraformer stinks, just use the terraformer program

How do you get the triangles to show, all i get is the 1x1 3x3 or 5x5 box thing to edit.

I use teh one in the editor for quick changes, such as removing a collision. That's just what it's for. Also, you can initiate the terrain in there, so I can do that, then terraform later. As for the actaully terraformer, I easily understand both, but they forgot to add the undo/redo hotkey and also, they should use another hotkey to deselect points. That is one reason why I like the old one. Just hit teh spacebar to move the cam, spacebar again, a few clicks, editing, ta da. Except the new one allows you to edit several areas at a time, plus has a smoother, making it more of an advantage in a few ways than the old one. However, I feel free to use both. Just dig through the update backup folders used for uninstalling, and there it is...

I just make the basic terrain in the editor, all square, and then I smooth it in the terraformer, because 1) My computer is slow and 2) There's some kind of error message about texturing.

I kind of like the new terraformer. About the only thing I don't like with it is that it crashes back to the desktop on me all the time. Anybody else having this problem with it?
