What happened here???

ok, i reformatted yesterday and now when i have installed NL1.5 and i select GL 1.5 extensions, i get only 30 ave fps (60 MAX when like lookin at the sky). right before i formatted, i got about ave 60 fps (100 MAX when lookin at sky). ive updated my drivers and directx to what they were, but nothing changes, and my options are the exactly the same.

try putting everything on the lowest settings and bringing one thing up to a higher detail level at a time to see what works the best

70 is pretty good man ... go with it. If you want more, go with a better graphics card (or be sure the drivers are updated on your current card). You can go to your card's webpage to find out what the latest driver is.

I wish i had 70...i only get that high if i look at the sky. and if im riding a woodie and look at the sky its even worse

Get a new graphic card man ... that will help you beyond belief.

that part of the problem lol, I need a whole new pc...but that requires $, which i am going to spend on my trip to colorado over the next 5 months

lol, then save up after your colorado trip.
anyways, about the other guy, you probably have vsync on and the fps won't go higher than your monitors refresh rate.

I get my normal fps, problem is when riding it like stops and thinks what is coming next and then continues for a split second, very annoying.

This isnt a reply to the topic really, but, I am on 1.3, and when I look at the sky I get 100 fps. When I look at a typical wooden coaster with a few trees thrown in the mix I get less than 10 fps [:(]

Same thing Brtn ... update your graphic card driver first -- then invest in a new card if there is no improvement.

I've got worse than Btrnboarder, like 2 with a real big woodie with complicated supports.
