I need a program that let's you compose a music, then can export it to a .mp3 or .wav or whatever. I've googled, but haven't found anything, Can anybody help?

Oh yeah, BTW, can you set the env. so that the light source isn't definite? I want an indefinite light source, in other words, light that doesn't appear to come from a specific source.

not sure about the light thing, But i use Acoustica MixCraft. I caughed up a prety big chunk of money, but the thing is awesome. i have had it for almost 6 months and i am still learning new things every day!

you can also downlode free loops and sound EFX. it is worth the money.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
That is free, i have herd a few people say it is good for a free-be. It should do what you want it to + more!

No, he wants to compose songs. I compose a bit, but I just make dumb MIDIs with NoteWorthy Composer. I had tons of great songs, I forgot to back it all up, and bam, everything went dead, had to reformat, and I haven't composed since. :-(

Thanks guys. I'll be makin' some rock for my next coaster. BTW, how does it work? You put a bunch of notes together? Anyways, you don't have to ansswer that, I'll go check it out.

but I just make dumb MIDIs with NoteWorthy Composer.

That only gives you piano it looks like. Is there any way to make a rock guitar with drums combination?

I'll go check out fruity loops. In school, I remember this program thing where you can create compositions for any instrument. I think it was called music ace or something... I'll be googling that.

Edit: Music ace isn't what I need it looks like.

Nah, NWC has all the instruments a MIDI can have. I don't remember exactly, but somewhere (probably in 2 or 3 places), there's a way to change the instrument and topns of other good things. I really like NWC, although I guess I should try some others sometime, but I'm too lazy. If you don't play an instrument, then NoteWorthy Composer isn't for you, but if you're used to using notes, then use it.

On NWC, I didn't find any other instruments. But I looked at a sample file and it had it. But I can't find ow to do it. I'll try cakewalk right now.

BTW, yes, I do play an instrument, I play drums, I also used to play piano.

Also, I might have to look for something that converts MIDI to .wav or something that's more commonly used by media players.

BTW, thanks guys.

I haven't used it in a while, but It's somewhere in the staff properties. You can make some great stuff with it.
