I am.

I kinda doubt that Hansixx left because of a single rate. Ive given him rates as low as 7...he hasnt left CS. Whys everyone gotta jump to the worst possible conclusion? Does it just make good conversation?

TCon, PM's at CS? Didnt know they existed...Not sure what you mean either.

i think he meant the chatroom that is allmost always empty. You just have to be lucky if you can chat with someone... And if you are there in the room with someone then you must hope that he's also gonna chat!

Ahh.

You can easily spot the "low" attendance because of the age differences from CS to other sites. Because of the higher age limit, the crowd is obviously older. Most older people have jobs, families and such to take care of, or high school and college.

As with this board and many others (many others...definatly not just this one alone) the lower age limit does have its benefits. Higher numbers, more activity and so on. But, theres no denying the lower maturity and lower level of more intelligent conversations. All that means though is the MODS have to work extra hard to maintain good environment. Its a trade off, just depends what you want as a site. At CS and other sites where the limits are higher, their boards are more inactive, but most of the topics are more relevent and not so everywhere in terms of topics. My observations here show alot of topics that I cant read, make no sense or flame wars. Again, obviously WWS and his crew are willing to moderate that and thats great. They do a decent job of keeping it rather clean and keeping the froth from exploding over the top.

Im not in any way condemning this site or others, its just the reality when dealing with middle-high school age kids. I have a friend whos a sophomore in high school, and yea hes immature, but I still enjoy being around him. Immaturity at the RIGHT time is just fun, at the wrong time its quite embarassing and well, immature :P As an adult Ive actually learned alot from him, how to stay young at heart and how to live life with more joy.

I will though put money that I now get a ton of responses from 13-18 year olds who swear they are the most mature things on the planet. All I have to say is, thats a sign of immaturity. Real maturity is when you can look at yourself and not deny that you arent done maturing. Im 21, matured ALOT over the last 4 years, but still not done and I would still say I have areas to work on. I remember in HS thinking I was just da-shiznit and mature beyond my years... hahaha

Be real with yourself, best thing you can do.
Just thought Id lay that out there, I know the age limit gets brought up everytime ;) (even had it brought to me in PM's! heh )

Could of been worse, a virus could have jumped out of the screen whilst he was browsing the site bit him on th enose, and run off, hence he never visits....i just wanted to back up your point about immaturity there!

Most older people have jobs, families and such to take care of, or high school and college.

Yet these people still have hours to waste on building rollercoasters? [;)] i supose that could be a recreational activity... anyway, i like there being more younger kids around, i know some of the younger members and stupid things they do, do cause me and the rest of the staff to have a good laugh at times (although laughing at the more mature members can also be fun)

Basicly here at WWS.Com we dont really want any limits or what no, we let our members run wild and punishments are really non exsistant these days. In my mind CS.Com has been sterotyped as grumpy old men sitting behind there computers, whereas WWS.Com has kids high on sugar and adults high on cough syrup, furthermore (cant be bothered to finish last point) i love being immature, although in some situations i have to be mature, i way prefer to be immature, and im sure most members here would agree

The edge also prefers to be [r] but we try not to hold that against him.

Was that immature [;)]

Anyway I'm a member at CS. Don't do very much there though.

G Force Addict can fill you up on this information, pm him for it and I am sure he is willing to elaborate, he knows more about that than I do.
All that means though is the MODS have to work extra hard to maintain good environment.

Well we do work hard, but if you really look at it, we're not locking topics 24/7 nor yelling at membersto watch their language and what not. People like to be respected and they will treat you the same. So I have learned that much here. Most of the time it just takes one warning for an entire topic to straightened out.
At CS and other sites where the limits are higher, their boards are more inactive, but most of the topics are more relevent and not so everywhere in terms of topics. My observations here show alot of topics that I cant read, make no sense or flame wars.

Yet most of the conversations over there make no sense at all to our fun minds. When I was at SFMM with Phyter, Ole, Ride Op, Phyter's brother and D1JL, I swear they had the most boring, non-comprehendable conversations ever of spinning some 3d object of some sort. Same goes on the forums over there, I dislike technicalities and enjoy to have good fun. About the topics being all over the place here, well I enjoy the variety, I hate reading about the same thing over and over again. As for flame wars, well people need to vent and we let them to a certain extent but they're pretty much under control and don't go ban crazy on them.
Again, obviously WWS and his crew are willing to moderate that and thats great. They do a decent job of keeping it rather clean and keeping the froth from exploding over the top.

Thank you very much. We are proud to keep this site open and serve the coaster community.
Basicly here at WWS.Com we dont really want any limits or what no, we let our members run wild and punishments are really non exsistant these days.

[lol] how true, funny thing is I punish you more than the members that should be punished [:p]
WWS.Com has kids high on sugar and adults high on cough syrup, furthermore (cant be bothered to finish last point)

[lol] That was a funny assignment, you woulda laughed your arse off if you had seen the live presentation we did about it. Hell, we even had amicrowave with syrup in it [lol] Anyway, yeah what edge said.
The edge also prefers to be [r] but we try not to hold that against him.

[lol]
Anyway I'm a member at CS. Don't do very much there though.

I got banned [pshades] Not that I went there anyway. Funny how I got banned when I announced here that I was going to upload all my coasters and stated that I needed to download them first. Eh, too slow!
Anyway I am on my site, I enjoy what I do here, it costs lots of money to run this place, and I am constantly looking for ways to generate more out of it, with that said, send your paypal donations to weeweeslap@coastercrazy.com and remember which site has a stronger popularity for the youth and that will keep you feeling young and not geeky and old.

I will say this, CS is obviously a more "serious attitude" site and here is alot more about fun and games.

Strangely enough, theres some members (wont mention who or where) whom love to have fun and games, which at the right time can be just good fun. But those same people, when you have fun and games at their expense, man, watch out! They will accuse you of being mean or nasty to them, yet, you cannot tell them that what they did, which was the same, was wrong.

Its actually no one thats been in this thread. Just a few persons whom hate sarcasm and when its used, but use it themselves. What a concept eh?

[EDIT] Wanted to add that I very much enjoy those boring, engineering/design conversations, much because thats what I plan on doing with my life. But, I have in the last year or so just realized that life is too short to be too serious. A level of fun and doing things with abandonment can be very uplifting for the heart.

Which is why youll see me going off in topics where people do nothing but flame and cut up rollercoasters...if rollercoasters are so sucky, dont ride em. Help me and make my line shorter ;)

Here Here!

Very true (to the environment at CS) as well Real ... something about CS that if you want rides that really encompass the whole 3D environments and knock your pants off, that is the place to go.

I was but I got banned. It sucks too becuase I am missing out on so many good coasters to download. Ratings were also more reasonable and there were less rating complaints there. However, I disagree with their rating policy anyway. I'm one of those people who is busy all the time. I don't have time to do stuff like that.

Suess is one tough admin and doesn't give you second chances.(actually I got banned I think 3 (maybe more) times and he let me by, but now he won't even respond to my emails)
