What is the roughest coaster you have been on? I would probably say Python at BGT. It needs to be scrapped.

everyone tells me Vekoma SLC's. I think Wildcat at hershey is real rough, and it's always getting re-tracked, but unless you get there the day after a re-tracking, your gonna be head-butting your partner through out the ride.

p.s. If python needs scraped, then why's it your icon?

Steamin' Demon @ the Great Escape

I'm going to BGT this summer, so I'll see if the Steamin' Demon or Python is rougher. I think SLCs are pretty smooth. The parts where they bash you into the restraints don't really hurt, they're just shocking and fun.

by far the roughest ride i've ever been on was cyclone at sfne. it has real potential to be a good ride, but six flags isnt taking care of it... it's very slow and you come off feeling like someone turned you inside out, beat up your guts, and put back together. OUCH!

Key to magnum being a smooth ride (not joking either) is to ride in the middle row of any car. Theres 3 rows, ride row 2. Its between the axel seats and thus alot of the harsh transitions are vibrated out.

I used to have that feeling...till I rode there and it makes THE world of difference.

By far, the roughest ride I've been on was the Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. I assume it was supposed to be that way, based on the name. It may be rough, but its still one of the best wooden coasters I've been on.

^ Rattler is certainly a rough one and I agree ... also The Texas Giant at SFOT if it is ridden a few times in a row. ;-)

Psyclone at the Mountain of terror and doom! ANd uncleanliness. The ride jack hammers so much, your screaming in pain more than your enjoying. Last time I was on it, I was like, this ride is gonna be fun. And then I get off it, and remember how much it hurts. Let me tell you, that ride needs to be completely re-built or taken out. Until then, I shall never rideth that ride ever again.

The roughest coaster I ever went on was Drachen Fire at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. That coaster was so rough that the park tore it down. That is by far the roughest Arrow coaster ever.

I agree!

The Mighty Canadian MineBuster should also get an honorable mention because it hurts to ride it now

It was one of the Vekoma SLC's. Eraser at WMBW was quite bad, but I think the main offender was El Condor at SFH.

Oooh, Iron Wolf is just no fun to ride anymore for me because it headbangs so hard...one of the roughest B&Ms out there...probably even rougher than the Arrow Corkscrew at SFGAm, Demon, LOL...

i agree 100 percent.....i rode it first season, and think that the way it was when it opened it's one of the best rides i've ever ridden, but for some reason magic mountain decided to use crappy (actually incredibly crappy) trains manufactured by a company that has no buisiness buiding trains for wooden rollercoasters.... these trains have ruined a wonderful track, and since magic mountain spends so much on peice of crap shuttle rides like superman and deja vu they "solved' this problem by braking the hell out of this ride instead of reworking it and having ptc make appropriate trains so that they could let it go to sh*t. the upside is that it's still nice to look at and the line is so short now that i can ride it like 10 times while my freinds waste time in line for the 20 second ride on deja vu, too bad magic mountain is ownned by six flags, a chain thaqt cares more about one trick pony rides instead of classics.... what's happened to revolution is also a testement to six flags honest to god disrespect for the lovers of classic rides... ah welll... knott's claims that they will never use trims on ghost rider, but i highly doubt if cedar fair will keep this promise once silver bullert opens, i think the logic of the park chains is like so... turn the high maintenance ride into a complete peice of crap so that people will hate it, that way it doesn't wear down as fast, and people will automaticaly think the new ride is better... tch tch thc shame shame.
