help with supports???

howdy... hey can anyone help me with a support question? i got it down pretty much, using the snap, and the grid... thanks for the advice. everything comes out straight, but when i try to place wide wooden beams they all face the same way..... how do i rotate them or what ever... if you like i could email what i'm talkin' about, it's just kinda a drag....

what do you mean by that?? Im not much of a wooden supporter so i dont know a whole lot on them

I don't think you can rotate them.

As far as I know, there is no way to rotate them. They come out looking like a 1x4 standing on end no matter what you do. You could always use two smaller ones side by side (or on top of each other) to give a different view - but doing that a lot would be very time consuming.

o.k.... i'll just use the beam then, it's square.....

I believe if you link them to another node, they fuse together. But they have to be fused I think on top and bottom. If its just fused on the bottom, it may just turn out rotated off center. Its just something within the support code.


I could be wrong about the 2 opposites, but that seemed to be the trend when I was doing custom work on a wooden coaster awhile ago.
